It looks like the new models will be going for $20-50 over retail on eBay for the next few weeks.

Dunno why that would be. If Wal-Mart has the new model in our podunk corner of the universe (they do, display case is full of the new PS2s today), pretty much anyone who wants one should be able to get one at regular price. Apparently the early launch wasn't an EB/Gamestop-only thing. Seems like it launched everywhere.
