Acclaim licences to sell

This is real old - BUT they've only just started putting the prices on. I'd buy Smash TV, if I was rich.

Yarr, was going to post this, then I thought; fuck it, the only games worth buying already have a hefty bid on them, and since the rest are shit no one will care :P

I remember seeing their furnitures auctioned some time ago, but not their game IPs.

Anyway, I honestly think I should be given the whole Double Dragon licence, considering the shameful amount of money I've put in the original arcade
Were there some other Double Dragon titles developped besides the ones on sale here ?

I don't really follow, what exactly would the Crazy Taxi licence get you? It's Sega's IP and they just localized and published the game on PS2 so I don't really see how that would be worth anything. I mean they have plenty of stuff up there that they don't own like Bust A Move (Puzzle Bobble), bunch of Midway stuff like Mortal Kombat, Smash TV, and NARC, X-Men Children of the Atom from Capcom, the Worms games from Team 17. What exactly are people buying?

The only thing that's worth a damn is Extreme G, I like that series even though it wasn't great or anything it was a good rental budget release. If GameTap or MS was smart they'd buy up some of these retro games and pimp them out for XBLA. Also Iggy's Wreckin Balls was kinda cool, I picked it up for like $5ish and it was worht it.

hmm:

someone bought the rights to publish wizards and warriors? xblive arcade game?

$25,000
For the series
(Includes #186: "Wizards & Warriors I"

Mostly legal troubles, I guess, and then, perhaps, the rights to produce, publish, sell some Crazy Taxi game units, if done under the same terms and conditions Acclaim had with Sega.
Not too sure about the second part, though.

From what I have read on another forum, if you like say the Mortal Kombat 1 license, you buy the rights to publish it on snes, for example.

So uhhh unlike you are U2K The Greate$t, it's.. kinda useless.

edit: I wonder; if you bought the Double Dragon series NES rights, I guess that would mean that Nintendo would probably have to deal with you if they wanted to have it on the online Revolution Classics thing :)
