1) Always thought AC used real, authentic planes. The heck is that in the first pic?

2) Hurry up & start working on PS3 version.

dear god why the live actors? I'm having bad flashbacks of Top Gun's fmv intro...

whohoo! that was hot! kudos for live action videos.

anyway, ace combat had always some near future concept planes. this is not new.

Thanks for the link.
Game looks good, but the live actors are cheesy. Esp. the way they never show their full faces.

I really like that obscure style and that trailer was HOT! cant wait.

Namco have a great job of getting a AMX International AMX/T in the game, hopefully now theres room one day for one of these in the mix...

Uh... you haven't been playing the last few AC's have you... Since AC2 there have always been a mix of real and imaginary planes.

Awesome, just yesterday I was replaying AC5.

BTW, 99% of AC4's and AC5's are real. :P

A majority of the planes in all of the AC's have been real, it's just you'll find fringe planes for u to fly and a few enemy "boss" planes so to speak that aren't.

Holy hot sex on a beach.

Ok, Namco, we know you wanted to pump out AC5.5, but get going on PS3, chop chop. And God help you if my flight stick isn't supported.. Unless of course you release a force feedback one. :D

Indeed. AC's pedigree for jaw dropping visuals, next gen, HD, real surround... Gets me giddy just thinking about it.

One a hopeful note: Co-op, online, do it. Not gonna happen, but I can hope.

This game is looking amazing. I truly find myself in awe of what the PS2 is capable of in the right hands. Of course I know those pics are from a dev kit and clearly AA. :)

Between Burnout Revenge, GT4, and the Ace Combat games, the PS2 is a freaking beast when people know how to use it to it's full potential.

I have to agree with you. On the subject of real planes though, it kinda suck Namco never get the lesser known stuff like the AIDC Ching-Kuo, Skymaster Mk 88,A-6E Intruder, EF-111 Raven A-4 Skyhawk, and for diversity sake a Kamov K-50 and Super Cobra all in for something new

Is the composer the same person who did the music in AC5? If so.... OST OTY 2006.

There are like 2 or 3 composers for both Ace Combat IV and AC V. Kobayashi was the best IMO. They are all working on Ace Combat Zero, you can listen to some sample tracks on Namco Ace Combat Jp site.

And this picture fucking rocks!

Sexy!

For AC4, they were 3:

Tetsukazu Nakanishi
Keiki Kobayashi
Hiroshi Okubo

For AC5, they were 4:

Keiki Kobayashi [NAMCO]
Tetsukazu Nakanishi [NAMCO]
Hiroshi Okubo [NAMCO]
Junichi Nakatsuru [NAMCO]

yeah they are a part of the Namco sound team. Tekken, Ace combat, Katamari etc all have fantastic music. Kobayashi is the best when it comes to AC though, loved his work.

Agreed! :)

I'm waiting for this game and for the OST too. Kobayashi will return for AC0. You can even hear some samples on the official website.
