Active Time Babble XVIII: Persona 3 Portable & DeathSpank | 07/01/2010

It's a great month for Japanese releases, beginning with the recently released Persona 3 Portable. Andrew Fitch joins Kat and Ray to discuss the updated port along with the merits of the series as a whole. Also on tap for this week is an interview with Hothead devs Hamish Miller and Darren Evenson, who recently finished work on the adventure game/action RPG mashup DeathSpank. As always, whether it's hack 'n slash adventures or RPGs starring Japanese high school students, we've got you covered.

Why is 1-Up still better than any other video game website? 10 minutes of Inazuma 11 1 conversation. Suck it, Giant Bomb.

Hmm, I've never heard of this, but listening now.

Kudos for them recognizing that Fable wasn't the first RPG to have a story that took place over a generation or so.

Sidenote, the 1up page is so annoying for subscribing to podcasts not via itunes.

Downloaded, will listen later thanks.

EDIT: Another uninformed Ni no Kuni conversation, awesome. The DS and PS3 versions do indeed have different titles.

Thanks for defending Strange Journey. But I still hate Persona 3/4 with passion...especially the whole emphasis on the the high-school setting and dating.

Just wanted to say that Active Time Babble is an awesome name.

I'll most definitely give this a listen.

Can we get 1 next week, too, instead of Retronauts to cover Dragon Quest IX and Nippon Ichi's announcements? The Sunsoft news is the only retro stuff that's pressing.
