I would think they'd be more worried about Apple's recent tendency to make their platform a designer's dream with no 3rd party software needed. MS being a force in any of these markets is a long way off.

Simply put, if Microsoft came out with software that rivals Adobe's Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, GoLive) designers will avoid the first version. Graphic designers still have a hard time leaving Quark for InDesign. And before Quark, it was PageMaker...

I Making a Flash/PDF combination that's multiplatform will be far more popular and more useful than Avalon. Can't wait to see what Adobe does.

More popular and useful for whom? What is the hidden assumption that I'm missing?
