Give someone a complete list of the library and have them take over for a night. Do it every other month or so. It would rock. I've been watching all night long and its just great.

Anyone else agree? And when the hell will AS get its own network? Cause waiting till 11 at night makes me upset sometimes.

So fat this is great with all of these Venture Brother episodes and a good mix of other shows.

They might not yet, but if they could get more shows and licenses it would be great. Honestly if they just took more interest in the ONDemand content they offer i would be happier. Maybe offer up some Family Guy or something other than Home Movies.

I think they could fill a 24 hour block, they should just team up with that Anime network, they have been interested in being a real channel for a while now. Tons of anime, along with some classic and foreign filler(remember "O Canada"? :) ) topped off by the regular block that would now start at primetime with premieres for each day would be a dream come true.

Adult swim doesn't really have enough of a library for 24/7 programming

If Comedy Central can show 6-8 hours of fucking madtv every day, adult swim can run their shows over and over again.

I don't believe Family Guy is able to be On Demand because of the contract CN and Fox has, probably so as not to interfere with DVD sales.

CN already has one secondary channel, Boomerang. As far as I can tell, it never runs any commercials. I don't understand how it generates revenue.

I don't remember where i heard this (either an adult swim conference or one of the Adult Swim tags) but someone asked why they don't make their own channel. They replied by bringing up Boomerang, how much a waste of money it is and called it a mistake by Cartoon Network.
So i really doubt it does bring in revenue... yet.

Adult Swim is it's own "channel" now, I believe. They split off from CN for ratings measurement purposes. They will probably eventually split off onto their own frequency, but that won't be for quite a while.

And on that day, the gods will smile upon us.

as if waiting for all the anime shit to end just to get to the good stuff on AS wasn't bad enough already.

Quoted for truth.

That's not to say all anime is bad, or even all of Adult Swim's selection, but I have zero interest in watching even the good stuff with dubs. Dubs blow. I refuse.

Plus, it'd be nice for the main Cartoon Network to have more time to show its own stuff. You know, like maybe replaying Justice League Unlimited once or twice a week for those of us who aren't at home on Saturday evenings. Fuckers.

What they should do is have the second daily airings of anime be done with subtitles.

First time shown = dub
Second time shown = sub

I fear for Naruto.

Fuck anime, adult swim is not ANIME its meant for creative comedy conetent. ANIME should have stayed with Toonami. Just my thoughts.

I'm tired of all of these animes they have been showing lately. The only good one is Samurai Champloo.

Cowboy Bebop > SC

And Paranoia Agent was very intriguing. Can't say I've ever been so interested by one episode of television like that.

FMA and GitS were pretty good too. Hell, the only thing I can do without is Inuyasha (and maybe Scryed, but I haven't seen enough of that to form an opinion).

6. The Brak Show
7. Case Closed
8. Cowboy Bebop
9. Family Guy
10. FLCL
11. Fullmetal Alchemist
12. Futurama
13. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
14. Harvey Birdman, Attorney At Law
15. Home Movies
16. Inuyasha
17. Kikaider
18. Lupin III
19. Mission Hill
20. The Oblongs
21. Paranoia Agent
22. Robot Chicken
23. Samurai Champloo
24. Scryed
25. Sealab 2021
26. Space Ghost Coast to Coast
27. Supr Milk-Chan
28. Tom Goes to the Mayor
29. Trigun
30. Venture Bros.
31. Witch Hunter Robin
32. Wolf's Rain

That would fill up about 14.5 hours of television. They also have Metropolis, and the Inuyasha movie. If they did form their own separate channel, I guess they could show Ghost in the Shell, Knockin' on Heaven's Door, and maybe Perfect Blue. That would fill a 24 hour block. Maybe have multiple airings or back-to-back episodes of something and a movie on Friday and/or Saturday night.

:lol God, forget I even said anything. Seriously though, I wasn't trying to imply it should be the majority or anything, I just think alot of the anime that channel has listed would make for a good mix with all the other stuff. I used to hate the anime on AS as well and alot of it does still make me sick, but some of the stuff has grown on me alot.

If they were able to absorb some of the old Toonami block, they could easily fill the 24 hours. Bring back some of the REALLY old stuff like Ronin Warriors/Sailor Moon/Robotech/etc. for showing more during the daytime. It would be a good way to fill space, but still appeal to the demographic.

You guys should consider yourselves lucky that you get good anime on your Cartoon Network. Over here on Cartoon Network UK and Toonami we only get stuff like DBZ, Pokemon and Beyblade. They just recently started showing One Piece and Rave Master but that's about as good as it gets.

Rurouni Kenshin was also on Toonami at one point. Hell, it's had Mobile Suit Gundam, 08th MS Team, That 80s Gundam, Gundam Seed, and I think a Gundam movie.

Now that I think about it, wasn't Neon Genesis Evangelion on Toonami at one point as well?

Maybe they can wrestle away some other shows like The Critic, Duckman, Hellsing, and Rahxephon.

I wish they would use the "Second Audio Program" function for the Japanese track and give us real subs in the closed captioning. I mean if the Simpsons can be played back in Spanish why can't we get the original audio for the Anime they show?

I agree, I really enjoyed that.

I'm also a big Trigun fan, although since I have the set on DVD I don't really watch it when it comes on AS.

Boomerang's considered a mistake? That's a shame. I like popping on to it now and then and seeing some of the really old shows, and being reminded at how bad they actually were. (Wow, Pac-Man had an animation budget of $6.32, apparently...) I've also been vaguely amused by Dastardly and Muttley, since it's a rarity for the "bad" side to get such a focus.

Except there is not one day of the week where anime comes before comedy on the Adult Swim block. So you never wait for "all the anime shit to end before getting to the good stuff" as is.

Haha, that's true.

That reminds me: they need to get rid of Toonami Fridays or whatever the hell it is. Between that and FNSU on Comedy Central (99% of those comics are AWFUL), when I go to bed on Friday night, I get no love from the TV.

CC still has Duckman and The Critic.

EVA was on Toonami for 1 day during big robot week. Kenshin was on AS and toonami.

Exactly...

I fear for Naruto.
Me too. I saw a preview for it today on CN, but they left out the dubs (just grunts and crying...no actual lines). Hopefully it's not as horrible as OP.

there is if you watch Futurama/Family guy at 2am instead of 11pm.

Well maybe they get the rights somehow. They'd probably get a lot more exposure on Adult Swim. I think MST3K was on Comedy Central before moving to Sci-Fi channel, but I can't be sure.

Yeah FMA hasn't finished dubbing yet, so they can't show it. Gives me a chance to get caught up though, I came on around episode 17 or so, going to pick up DVD 3 today:)
