Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really was.
We've had one console pasts before with Nintendo and Atari and they have both abused of their competition-free spaces. If say, Sony had the complete dominance like Nintendo and Atari once had they wouldn't be doing a lot of the things they do today, a lot of Sony's moves were self defensive, even if today their market share is enourmous they have constantly been challenged along the way, their race with the N64 and Saturn, the Dreamcast, the Xbox, Live and so on. All along they knew that they conquered their way into a dominated business and anyone else could do it just like they did, but if there was no threat and it was a one console thing I doubt they would've played their cards so nicely, it's a no brainer for me SCE is enough business driven to be like Atari or Nintendo if they were in that same position, which they never were.
