Eh? I'd kind of expect a lack of expression in a tech demo. A tech demo for a physics middle-ware SDK at that. Graphic fidelity, gameplay design or artistic quality aren't exactly at the top of the list here. Leave that to the actual developers who are going to apply the technology to their games.
Aegia seems to really have something going for them. I hope they really can make use of the acquire of Myqon as I was impressed by physics demo they threw together.
The physics in it look amazing...yes...but if you can't pair it with graphics that match the realism -- don't bother...it just looks cheesy. I'm starting to wonder if graphics cards can handle the problems that transparent fluids can throw at it (there's a reason the fluid is not transparent/translucent in that demo).
Am I the only one that just thinks the liquid physics dont look all that great. One thing that stuck out was that the fluid seemed to be escaping the tank as though it had the consistency of water but towards the edges slowed as though it were mollasses. Anyone else getting this vibe?
