Have you noticed that most Japanese game characters are teenagers?
Almost all of the Japanese role playing game have teens as main character.
But alot of the American Euro Role playing games have more mature main characters. Such as Fallout series.This is kind of a culture difference.I would like see for once that a Japanese role playing game that uses a more muture type main character. It would be refreshing cool to see a mid age man as main character in a Final Fantasy game.
Also They have a stupid ways to keep their characters young. In games like Virtua Fighter and Street Fighter. When those games came out first, they actually gave them birthdays, and year of birth. But as the serises went on, they realized that their characters will soon be mid age, so they stopped showing the birth day in the game, or completely stopped mentioning the age of the characters. Team Ninja was smart, they only gave dead or alive characters a fixed age, without giving out the year of birth, so their fighters can never grow old.
I think ChungLi and Ryu should be in 40s soon.
