The actual image itself is terrible, his mouth seems Photoshopped open basically... but the clincher is the blurb about how it's "newly inspired." Typically, a director's cut sells itself, but this time they knew they had to basically say, "Hey we know the original sucked, this one might not suck completely.. but if it does, at least it has more action!" On top of that, Oliver Stone's name is in teeny, tiny letters -- hilarious! :lol

The whole image looks CGI. They got rid of the only good thing about the movie, and that was the white Motif of the poster. Heck the movies sucked big time balls but the poster was fucking awesome.

:lol

That is pretty bad.

Looks like one of those $1 DVDs that you see next to the candy while standing in line at the super market.

I saw this movie for Vangelis' soundtrack, but I thought the film had some really cool moments. rosario dawson looks unbelievable topless

The hillarious thing about the DVD cover is not the image, but the fact that is has to be advertised as more "action-packed" and "faster paced."

I'm looking forward to the DVD, while watching it in the cinema it struck me how much more appropriate it would be to home viewing. It's long, it's documentary-ish etc.

It'll be interesting to see what changes they've made, if any significant ones were made.

Troy owned this movie.

I disagree, Both Troy and Alexander sucked doneky balls big time, but at least Alexander had some unique style (the death scene). Troy just seemed like a paint by number Sword-and-sandel epic with a few ass and armpit shots thrown in for the ladies

Troy was MUCH better acted than Alexander, noone in the audience laughed at a supposedly "serious" scene as they did in Alexander. Alexander was out and out a really BAD movie while Troy was a so-so film that didn't make it's lofty ambitions of being another "Gladiator". All in all though, Troy was far better than Alexander in my opinion. Brad Pitt > Colin Ferrell.

Boy, that is one meek-looking half-assed "ANRGHHHEHERRGG!". :lol

"You know, I'm excited...but I'm not, like, completely excited."

They cut out the gay. Seriously.

I want more gay :( Or more romance at least. I liked how the relationship was treated more seriously and just trivialised to sex (unlike his woman-banging).

Luckily I never saw this rubbish, and I thought of myself as a huge fan of Alexander the Great :|

Awwwww, they changed it :(
