AI video generation is now insane

Yes, and I've been saying for a while: traditional CGI (manually building 3d models and rendering pipelines) will be totally dead overnight, along with its entire career trajectory, for all but the few who learn to switch to generative technologies in their place.

Thousands of porn careers on suicide watch.
This too, and I can't wait for it.

OnlyFans etc will mostly fall prey to the same pattern of all AI takeovers, as photography did:
  • phase 1: the old art (photography, now porn) goes online and curates extensive tagging databases (stock photo sites; now extensively tagged porn videos)
  • phase 2: the old guard (photographers, now thots) can make a quick buck by switching over, so they willingly populate these massive databases with new content (stock phot sites, onlyfans etc)
  • phase 3: with all this perfect training data already tagged and prepared for model ingestion, we can train a large generative AI to simply replace the human part of the equation. Stock photos as a career (where photographers used to upload photos of every possible object or theme) are dead since you can get exactly the photo you want from AI--and next, content like OnlyFans will mostly die out because you can ask for exactly the generated video you want. And OnlyFans deservers it, I can't wait to watch them all unemployed.

The AI videos that go for realism are basically impossible to tell. The video in the OP is going for a videogame look.
Now that i read my post again i can see why you didn't get what i meant. I mean we won't be able to know what's man made and what's not. No matter if it's something fantasy-related or not. It doesn't have to go for a realistic look.
Sorry, english is not my first language.

No one shall be brought before our LORD David Bowie without the true and secret knowledge of the Photoshop. For in that time, so shall He appear.
This is absolutely bonkers.

We’re not ready for this. God save all the boomers on Facebook who will never know what’s real ever again.

Much like amateur artists, I noticed how often this compilation tried to avoid prominently displaying hands and feet. Otherwise, great stuff.

in OP's video you can already see some good results on hands
It quickly cuts away before those hands do any further complex movement, because if you look closely some of those fingers start to bend a little oddly before it cuts to the next shot.

This isn't me saying it's bad, I'm just making an observation. I find it interesting that it's following the same process many artists follow and it hit the same hurdles that artists did too.

The future is gonna be just lawyers engaged in suing any AI art that makes any money for infringing on their client....whoever they may be.

There's one thing that's going to save porn: it doesn't cost anything to make. All you need is a phone and willing participants. There's no way that AI generated porn videos will be able to compete on production costs with amateur porn.

1 second scenes stitched together
You can clearly see it's just a bunch of videos mashed together

I think that's the point...? This is just someone's "sizzle reel" of various highlights from what they generated, to show off the power.

Having longer sequences of many scenes with consistency won't actually be that difficult, the tooling is already falling into place.

For instance, you can provide keyframes to these video models now, which means you can generate something like a static series of images in your chosen image model first (like building a storyboard), then supply the video model with specific framing or camera moves to apply between them. And image models already have amazing tools to control scene consistency, face consistency, etc -- all of which now moves downstream into video.

Entire films will be made with this tech soon; possibly starting with fantasy / animation just like when Pixar first released Toy Story and showed that full CGI films were possible -- and then, not long after, realistic films.

Bot accounts and social media accounts gonna be interesting if they're aren't already using some limited form of it.

People will still want hand made stuff though.

Better get into different career path now... but what?!

Form a gated compound in the woods. Place armed guards every 20 meters. The plot of The Village is our destiny.

While the more realistically stuff in the OP is more technically impressive.
I'm fascinated by all these fever dream like sequences being made with AI

I don't think I can embed it into the post.
But stuff like this or the one in that tweet, it almost feels like watching some Lovecraftian horror where your brain can't quite comprehend what it is watching

What if you could turn a crippled person into a porn star? Imagine showing someone a video of them in some threesome with some hot porn stars. Why don’t we have that yet? It’s probably too taboo. Women could sell their likeness to guys for AI generated porn. The possibilities are endless.

I’m not some porn guru. I just think these kinds of things have a place.

Get the fuck outta here thinking this will replace porn, if making porn with computers was the end goal then animated porn would've killed off real porn years ago.

There's an element of porn that AI can never achieve and that's the humanity of it, the power play of it, the sounds of it, the reaction of the bodies.

AI no matter how good it is will still always be fake, just like with animated porn, it'll have it's audience sure, but the majority will still prefer the real thing.

i would be shitting bricks if I worked any kind of VFX or videogames job. It’s not quite there yet but this will easily blow past any CGI hollywood stuff rapidly. Skilled labor in those fields will be setting up AI models and knowing how to effectively use prompts and require like 2% or the workforce that is currently employed there.

I'm glad I've never shared my image on the internet, I think easily by the time the next decade rolls around it's gonna be easy for the average person to 100% fool everyone with a face injected into any AI-generated scenario.

Just think, some random woman shares her picture on facebook, her colleague with the hots for her searches her and in no time she's giving him the business in a full lifelike VR scenario. Even voices from a brief video clip or audio recording could be synthesised and injected into it.

Every celebrity and every person on social media is a future pornstar whether they like it or not, the ship has already sailed.

Then there's video and photo evidence. It'll be useless soon enough.
