Alan Ritchson : Update - Neighbor Confrontation Video Released

I'm not saying he's not at fault -- he very well may be. But -- we don't see what happened before this.

We need to know what the missing piece is. EDIT: Like the post above mine. Who's telling the truth? No idea.

Sometimes a dude needs to be punched; it helps them mature and think things through. The problem is when you remove absolutely all consequence from an aggressor because they didn't physically strike first.

Nah. Punching the shit out of somebody for that is uncalled for. Unless the neighbour did something crazy like threaten to hit Alan's kids, then based on what I know, violence wasn't the answer.

On a personal level, I've seen too many lives ruined through pointless violence, either through childish insults that could have been ignored or through football (soccer for USA Gaf) violence.

Better to be the bigger man and walk away.

I'd say getting knocked off your bike twice leading to personal injury is probably more than good enough a reason to lay a beat down on some idiot.

Now I agree that if it was just words that were exchanged Alan overreacted, but it appears that is not the case.
 
"Well to do neighborhood", yeah, I bet this was nothing and not a big deal at all and this Taylor guy is a male Karen, that being said, if Alan really did beat him up cause of them getting into an argument he's definitely in the wrong here.

Let me tell you about Don Rickles. Funniest standup ever. He was all about zinging the audience.

If I found out he was an asshole in real life and zinged the audience in real life, should I stop watching his standup?

Alan can fuck up and face the consequences for that independently of my liking the show Jack Reacher. If the show is no longer going to come on, then now I care and am a little pissed at the guy for fucking it up....but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Well, normally I'd assume the guy on the motorcycle was probably the retard, but the other dude also rides motorcycles, and he speaks like a dandy so I propose just canceling them both.

It's one of the most stupid things i've read here in a while.
There are strict lines that separate the levels of interaction between individuals and the law punishes illegal behavior accordingly.
Someone cursing you doesn't mean you can assault them. There is nothing one could tell me that would trigger such a reaction from me because i am not a fucking monkey.
Take a fucking chill pill instead lf steroids for once.
 
I remember when watching Reacher I would comment, "C'mon, what kind of 140 lbs country bumpkin would take on a guy built like that, it's kinda unrealistic."

Well, reality showed me I was wrong. People genuinely are that dumb.

Anyways, I won't tell anyone what their threshold should be with this type of ting, but if I were a casting director, this event wouldn't even register as a reason to cast him or not. It's not like he was picking on anyone, beating women, yelling -ist slurs or anything. I also don't find that the violence is excessive (imo), just a few FAFO knocks.

You can tell those who've lived in safe spaces vs those who've had street experience.

Someone gets aggressive with you, you defend yourself. The only time you run away is when its more than one or if the aggressor has or potentially has a weapon.

Only a child thinks "you just say no, then the teacher will come tell them off".

Thats not how these things go in real world scenarios, its nice you've never had to throw fists before but to be so naive is gonna get you hurt if you ever do end up in a scenario where an aggressor is reaching the point where they may do something.

Also the aggressor himself admits in a video himself that he actually assaulted Alan first... im interested to see the defense in that scenario, an aggressive man comes up to you in front of your own children and then assaults you... guess only silly monkey men should respond

I can 100% put up with people cussing me as I have been called everything imaginable for years playing at the highest level of sports

What I wont tolerate is someone putting their hands on me and shoving me

Personally I think the guy got what was coming and in about the perfect dose

I completely agree, I can take almost anything verbally but if someone starts pushing me, especially when Im with my kids. I'm going to go into protection mode. I ride motorcycles too, and I am respectful of built up areas but bikes are noisy and if he is teaching his kids to ride, there should be some respect given there, just a dad with his kids.

If the bikes are legal and not modified exhausts etc, then the guy doesnt really have any right to say anything.

Once the other guy admitted to going hands on first, twice even, pushing him while still on his bike so being in the road and sounding like the aggressor, I think the response from Ritchson was measured and appropriate

The neighbor is a clown, and 100% deserved the beating he got. Standing in front of a bike and causing the driver to go over the handlebars instead of running you over? THEN you shove the hulk while he's trying to leave?

Dumbass is lucky Alan showed restraint. The neighbor could have been broken in half and would have deserved it.

I understand the desire to confront and stop it there, but as a neighbor it is best to wait and go talk when you are not annoyed with it. Figure out a compromise. Neighbors need to talk to each other, it solves a lot of problems.
