I imagine you can stick "truck Sim" to any game's name without it being a legal issue. The logo is also similar, but not identical.

The game is called "Alaskan Truck", "simulator" is a subtitle, so I don't see then having a problem with the "Truck Simulator" guys.

This thread was a rollercoaster of emotions. Entered it with hope that it was a new truck sim by the Euro truck sim people and that it would be releasing on console. See video with PlayStation icon and what looks very similar to the American truck sim logo. Hype engaged. Figure I will watch video later and read the thread first to soak in everyone else's hype (after all there must be dozens of us wanting truck sim on consoles). Read it has nothing to do with SCS Software. Hype deflated.

Please give us American truck sim on consoles.

I've always wondered how possible a console port would be from a controls standpoint. I can cram everything I need for basic driving to just a controller, but there's dozens upon dozens of extra functions that are situation-dependant that can't be fit as easily.

I'm sure they could come up with solutions, but they'd have to heavily rework part of the gameplay/simulation instead of just straight porting it.

I've always wondered how possible a console port would be from a controls standpoint. I can cram everything I need for basic driving to just a controller, but there's dozens upon dozens of extra functions that are situation-dependant that can't be fit as easily.

I'm sure they could come up with solutions, but they'd have to heavily rework part of the gameplay/simulation instead of just straight porting it.

I honestly can't see them bothering as, like you said, it would be a lot of work and it probably just isn't worth it for them. I have to admit though it is one of the pc games highest on my wish list for a console port.
