If I ever decide to off myself in the bathtub, I'm using my air fryer instead of my toaster. So the people who find my body know that I owned a air fryer and nobody else can have it cause I took it with me.

He died how he lived….frying.

I don't own one

We have a ninja foodi 8 in 1. It's not big enough to fry a whole chicken but it is also does duty as a regular toaster oven and folds out the way so it doesn't take up too much space. It's pretty good, not life changing but it does crisp things up pretty good.

I have an older one that has a blade inside to spin the food around while cooking. It tends to much some fries up, next time I'll just get one of the basket ones that seem more popular.

If you think this will make you eat healthier
Get the fuck out.

do sports don't fry shit
Eat vegetables

Does it cook faster than an oven? Like how long for a whole chicken?

Yes, it cooks pretty much everything faster than in a traditional oven - meat moreso than vegetables. A five pound chicken, pretty typical around here, will cook up in about 45 minutes, 50-55 if you want crispier skin. So, roughly 30 - 45 minutes faster depending upon how you bake your chicken (high heat with periodic basting? or low and slow?).

Usually high heat since I don't have much time after work for cooking if I don't want to eat too late but I never cook chickens that big (5lbs) since my girlfriend is vegetarian so I'm all alone with the kids on it. I usually buy 2-3lbs, chickens, the cooking time would be really readuced.

You got me interested, always looking for more cooking gadgets to speed up time like an instant pot or a slow cooker that I setup in the morning

Thanks!

Download their manual and inspiration guide from the website. A few chicken breasts will cook very quickly.

Actifry, just use it for roasted potatoes and fries and it's much faster and crispier than the oven. Wings are fine in it, better than the oven but all seasoning needs to be done the last 5 min or it becomes a mess.

I have a Philips Air Fryer. It heats frozen chicken in about 10 minutes and is much better than having to preheat my oven.

If you don't have a convection toaster oven, then it's a good alternative. It's just a tad noisy. Oh, it cooks things dry real fast. You'll need to cook less or add something to put in moisture in cooking well.

I got a Ninja Foodi Pro. I just got it a week ago and have used it like 4 or 5 times. It cooks really well and it comes with a cookbook and cooking time for meats by the lbs. It comes with all you need. I got it at Kohl's for like $208 after opening a charge with them.

They're good if you never learned to cook and don't have time or inclination to learn, and just want to feed your pie hole.

Few frozen foods include air fryer instructions meaning its most commonly used function (i.e. heating up stuff like frozen fries, chicken, cheesesticks, nuggets, onion rings, etc...) is a blind guessing game on times/temperature.

as far as my understanding, an air fryer is just an oven but with convection turned on

in other words, it's an oven

air fryers are a great way to prank someone though

hey you want some coffee?

sure i'd love some coffee

you pull the handle of the airfryer and its not coffee its fat free french fries

gotcha

WHAT BRAND AND MODEL DO YOU HAVE? Tefal Actifry Original Plus

HOW USEFUL IS IT? Used daily, has auto stiring for fries, wedges, nuggets, all that kinda jazz or you can remove the stirrer and use it normally for everything else.

WHAT DO YOU COOK? everything that can be air fried or oven baked

IS IT JUST TRENDY CRAP? no, works great, quicker than oven, much less fat.

IS IT REALLY BETTER THAN A TOASTER OVEN? yes

HOW DO YOU KEEP IT CLEAN? most the parts are dish washer safe

WILL IT MAKE MY CHICKEN FINGERS CRISPY IN A SHORT TIME SPAN? yes, crispy crunchy goodness

It took my next door neighbours sometime in the night. I know, because there were blood spatters just on the inside of the fully adjustable temperature control knob.

It will come for me when the moon is full tonight.

Pray for me.

Use for popatos, chicken and pancceta. Works really well. I use to make healthy food for my mother without using salt or oil at all.

The only problem is you need to master the time because there are some inconsistences in the time they recommend and the high noise of the Air Fryer.

Meat with lot of fat usualy make smoke, so take that into consideration.

It's the GOAT kitchen appliance. My blender and microwave despise the air fryer because it hogs most of my attention.

That being said, I don't think they're great if you're preparing meals for 4 or more people on the regular.

Gets the job done. We use it pretty much only for french fries. The other day I made a grilled cheese sandwich in it and it was fine.

I had a friend in uni who was against capitalism to an extent where they would refuse to use capitals at all. Not in reports, assignments or even his name. everything would be lowercase

Best way to turn into a fat fuck 😂👍🤣
I usually don't eat much fried things because of that, if there is an healtier way i'm all ears.

I'm 35, my willpower is not remotely the same as i was in my 20s when it comes to eating shit :lollipop_squinting:

Stir fry veggies 👋👍 avoid fried shit .
I only eat Green salads to keep my stomach full but i generally hate veggies except eggplants and tomatoes (that is really a fruit)

Raw fennel is another thing i abuse to keep hunger at bay (you literally burn more calories digesting it thanby eating it)

I have exactly this crappy air fryer model :messenger_tears_of_joy:

It's like someone said, a small compact and practical electrical convection oven.
I cook almost everything in it. From French fries, chicken breasts, bacon stripes, pancetta, onions and some other veggies, cheese etc. Preheat for some minutes, throw everything in there and voilà. Meal is ready in 10-15 minutes. They are somewhat loud but they don't smoke (at least my doesn't).

It's one of the best kitchen appliance you can buy. It isn't better than your og oven, but it's healthier (they are constructed in a way that simulates the frying aspect of the food without usage of oil and the fat from fatty foods tends to drips off to a separate compartment of the pan) and way way more practical and easy to clean than your oven.

Not getting my point across via the internet like this...TIME FOR PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE ALL CAPS! HOW DARE YOU!?

Just got a cheap one from an online place over here that rebadged generic Chinese versions of stuff (Kogan). I find it handy for when I'm cooking something in the oven at a lower temp but want something done hotter and have it ready at the same time, e.g. reverse searing steaks and want to do some crispy potatoes with them. I basically like to use it as a second 'turbo' oven.

Don't use one. Just learn to cook properly. (It's just an oven anyway).
When time is an issue (every week night for my family) i can chop up some potatoes, throw them in, and they are done in less then 30 min. In that 30 min I can hit the bbq with some chicken and fry up some broccoli on the stove and have a nice meal for 4 people. I can't do that in the oven, it's not fast enough, I have to mind what it's cooking in the oven as well. It's an appliance to improve speed and efficiency for those of us who enjoy food without spending an hour cooking.
