Alright, where's the PC rip-off of the OS X Tiger RSS screensaver?

$50/hour, but no kissing on the lips and colors must be pre-separated
After seeing videos of this, I now want it. Since a Mini Mac simply won't blend in with my very select disposed soda cans and candy wrapper decor and that fact that I'm, ya know...poor, I'm wondering if there's a PC alternative out there. Surely there must be something similar for that whacky Windows minority. And if not, get cracking, elite GAF programming squad!

Seems like it would get pretty freaking repetitive after a while...

I think I'll stick with a blank screen.

Ever-changing RSS feeds...are repetitive? What is a blank screen then, exactly?

It is very nifty, but who sits around watching a screen saver?

Hey, they made the 'After Dark' guys a nice chunk of change back in the day, so I'm sure somebody is. :D

If no one were watching, they'd all just be blank screens :)

I keep forgetting that not everyone actually uses their computer 100% of the time when they're sitting at their computer desk :)

A blank screen would be a real screen saver...

Where as a RSS feed would require you to sit there and watch your computer do nothing... I mean... seriously, if you're watching your computer, wouldn't it make more sense to be using it at the same time, getting the news you want rather than waiting for randomly pulled albeit pretty scrolling (but unreadable as a result (scrolls too fast for some)) news?

IIRC, this was released to developers to show them the things that could be done with Quartz. It's not meant as a practical software app, although i'm sure some would use it for that.
