It's not that super-strong minty flavor that nearly burns your tongue off when you first put it in your mouth that impresses me. It's the fact after that goes away, you're left with a piece of chewing gum that never seems to lose it's flavor. I tried them yesterday for the first time. I chewed on once piece for about 4 hours and it kept it's flavor. I gave up after that.
Sure, they cost $1.99 a can here, but when you try something like a 25 cent pack of wrigley's(spelling?), the stick loses all flavor after a few minutes of chewing and even if you keep chewing, your breath loses it's mintyness about 45 minutes later. In comparison, altoids are like "The Everlast Gobstopper" of gum. =)
