Am I the only one who feels forced to read spoiler tags?

I don't know what it is but if something is blacked out with a spoiler tag I feel obligated to read it. Even if I don't read the entire post I feel like I am missing something if I don't read the blacked out text.

Edit: god typing that on an iPad was a fucking nightmare. Plus I couldn't remember if I needed an s or not.

Edit2:I guess I could use the built in spoiler thingy instead of typing them every time like a dumbarse
 
I read them since lots of posts are incomplete without the spoiler tag in some lame attempt at a joke. Of course this leads to accidentally reading actual spoilers. I remember when they were removed due to this abuse.

I'll subconsciously highlight spoiler tags, spoiled myself a few times because of this.

There are spoiler tags in the Grand Turismo thread. I'm honestly surprised spoiler privileges haven't been taken away given the how most people use them.
 
I do it compulsively... if I see a hint of black, instant Apple A.

worst thing about it,
I dont want to know the ending or whatever to figure it out on my own but because its blacked out i feel i must do it
. Its like a treasure chest waiting to be opened...
 
Putting spoiler tags around things that are not spoilers is one of my biggest pet peeves about forums in general. It trains you to reveal them every time and eventually leads to actually spoiling yourself on something.

The RDR spoiler is the only one that burnt me bad on GAF. Someone posted it by accident in a Vanquish thread spoiled, so I highlighted thinking it was nothing important, then bam, GAFrape.

I literally heard the music fade in, wow.
 
The worst spoilers are the ones that only warn you of a spoiler ahead. My eyes drift off and read it unintentionally anyway (or parts of it).
 
Generally, I only ready spoiler tagged stuff if it's not a real spoiler or a spoiler for something I don't care about anyway.

But I'm using FF4 beta now so my show-spoiler-on-mouseover script is disabled and I'm too lazy to highlight spoilers at all.
 
You can always tell real spoilers from me because I won't go:
