Amazon has announced that they will be delivering Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 preorders in select cities in the US starting at midnight eastern time on November 6th. This program only works with Prime Now, and in order to get in on this, you must place your preorder on November 4th starting at midnight eastern time.

"Release night pre-orders must be placed using the Prime Now app with reservations starting at midnight eastern standard time on November 4. Customers will be able to choose a special delivery window, select additional items they might need for their late night mission — such as beverages, snacks or extra gaming controllers — and pre-order the game for late night delivery on its release night, Nov. 6. There is limited availability within each delivery window so customers are urged to download the Prime Now app and be ready to reserve their delivery on Nov. 4 at midnight eastern when pre-orders begin in the app.

Prime Now is currently offered in Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Manhattan, Miami, Minneapolis, Orange County, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, San Antonio, San Francisco, San Jose, and Seattle. For these special, late night Call of Duty: Black Ops III two-hour delivery windows, there will be no delivery fees"

Goddamnit, why can't they do this for Fallout?! I guess that wouldn't help me as I already pre ordered the Pip Boy edition and there would be no way to cancel it and order it again through the app.

Still.. woulda been cool

Note for west coast folks. Amazon cs says they will not deliver at the 9pm release time that we've grown accustomed to lately. Just giving the heads up, since I was curious about that.

Between Amazon ditching decent pre-order discounts a few years ago and the digital push from Microsoft and Sony, along with games going live at 9pm on the west coast I've had no reason to bother with physical games lately.

No Prime Now in San Diego at the moment anyway.

Digital push lol. Digital games have not gone down in price, they re just as expensive as ever. Nothing has changed and retail is still cheaper.

So they're sending out delivery people at midnight to ring doorbells and drop off packages?

How many accidental shootings are we expecting out of this?
