Amazon Prime Now Crazy Deals

So I was checking out the new Prime Now app, which gets you stuff delivered in under 2 hours here in Chicago.

Low and behold, I see the following:

Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition PS4: $10
Alien Isolation Nostromo Edition PS4: $12.99

I haven't seen these games this cheap anywhere -- not even close. I ordered a few other household things to hit the $35 minimum so I could qualify for prime now. It appears there are other good game deals on prime now, but the selection is very, very limited.
 
Wonder if it was a super limited thing, can't find the game in Prime Now (Chicago). I guess the Now stuff could inherently have super low stock?

EDIT: NOPE. They definitely don't deliver to my area.

Oh well.
 
I'm in Dallas and neither of those games are offered through that service. Not even seeing Diablo 3 listed at all, PS4 Alien Isolation is $19.99. Oh well

I strongly recommend choosing their video game section of the app and just scrolling for deals. I have found stuff listed that doesn't show up via a keyword search. Good luck, boys.

Diablo 3 UEE: You sure it's not PS3? I'm in Austin and PS3 version is $7.50.

Alien Isoloation Xbox One in Austin is $10, doesn't look like any special edition.

I use Prime Now weekly. It's glorious for those heavier items I can't really fit in my backpack since I don't have a car.

Yup. A couple of weeks ago I got Dead Rising 3 Apocalypse edition for $12.30, saints row 4 and gat out of hell ps4 for $10, walking dead season 1 PS4 for $10, thief ps4 for $10, and Lego the Hobbit ps4 for $10 plus the $20 off first time orders of $50 or more made it a crazy good deal even with the stupid tip to the driver.

Saints row 4 was $40 on regular Amazon the day I ordered it.

I've noticed items just keep dropping in price every few days by a few cents if they don't get bought on the app.

The tip kind of screws it up for future orders though since I won't have a $20 off coupon.
 
I totally believed you, congrats on the order. Have been waiting on a good price for Diablo and was going to jump on that. Kind of sucks that PrimeNow doesn't include more of amazons full inventory since it only operates in large cities.
 
The app is compatible with none of my devices (iPad, android tablet). Is there no way to browse available sock on their site?
 
Yeah, in Gurnee, IL here and we don't have an Amazon Prime Now. Wish we did, as the giant Amazon warehouse is literally 20 mins from my house.

Mchenry is like in the border between the countryside and suburbs. I'm a little bit south of you and don't have prime now either. We'll get it someday maybe...

I checked same day shipping for places like Schaumburg and they didn't have it, so it's not good news for us haha.

wow.....even woodfield area doesn't have it....yes, thats not good lol
 
This is a ymmv thing. In my area those games have never even shown up on my app. All I have is vanilla edition of Alien for 20 bucks.
 
Right now around Baltimore I see Tomb Raider PS4 for $10, The Evil Within for $10, Sherlock Holmes Xbox One for $10.xx and South Park Xbox 360 for $9.xx if anyone cares.
 
Prime Now? I don't think I've heard of this and it's not bringing me any results on the playstore. I guess it doesn't work in Canada or on android.

20 minutes suburban is too far and too fuel inefficient for them to do what is basically a custom door-to-door shipment immediately. The profit margin on this must be insanely small, with a delivery person likely getting sent out every 30 minutes or so to do some kind of quick loop. I can barely get my head around how this isn't a giant loss for Amazon.

EDIT: Motorcyle delivery guys, or something? Regular bicycles? A truck loaded up and just cruising around the city with a small, everything-must-go inventory? That would at least explain the App, limited selection, and weirdly low and inconsistent prices.

They are probably taking a loss. Amazon as a whole isn't a very profitable company. Only recently have they started posting small profits. They mostly focus on growth first then profits.

The tip is totally optional. You can change it up to 48 hours after you place the order, even.

People who can get them delivered in an hour. I've had prime now deliver me batteries and paper towels. Why? Because in rush hour traffic they get things to me faster than I can on my own, and it costs me the same or even less.
 
$29 here in SoCal -_- (Diablo 3)
No Alien but it is $20 on actual Amazon.com so if anyone's interested they should shoot for that.
