AMD CPUs Make Big Gains in Steam Hardware Survey

For gaming, it's hard to justify anything but the x3d chips if you have to buy a new motherboard. I moved from a 3800x to a 5800x3d on my X570 board and was surprised how big of a leap it was.

My i5 12400f still chugging along fine! When I upgrade I'll switch to AMD, though I wonder when that will be, think I still got some years left.

My bazzite/STeam OS lviging room PC has a 7800XT and a 7800X3D. I am REALLY hoping that the upcoming 9070 raytracing and FSR improvements really truly end up coming to pass.

At 1080p, I get that these chips are amazing. However, at 1440p or 4K - assuming you have a 4080/90, would upgrading a decent 12th gen plus intel cpu to one of these new £500 AMD chips really give you more than 10% fps?

Willing to be converted!

Still waiting on my 9800X3D to arrive 😪 how anyone can choose intel over AMD these days especially gamers bamboozles me.

Im on a 14600k (upgraded from 12400F). Will definitely go AMD for my next build, unless Intel comes up with some amazing product which i very doubt.
