Amd or Intel cpu for laptop?

Amd is the king of desktop cpus right now but is it better than intel on gaming laptops? Are 13/14th gen intel cpus have issues on laptops too? Options are ryzen 7 7745 and intel 13450hx(maybe I can go a little bit higher but I'm not buying their latest versions).

On Laptops, Intel CPUs have a much stricter voltage cap. So the issues with degradation are not a problem. Still, if you choose to buy an Intel system, check if it's using the latest UEFI version, just to be safe.

The Zen CPU has 8 cores 16 threads. The Intel CPU only has 6 performance cores, and the rest are the economy cores.
So for gaming, the AMD CPU will probably do better.

The integrated GPU on the AMD CPU is RDNA2, but still better than the UHD GPU on the Intel CPU. But I suspect you intend to buy a laptop that has a dedicated GPU, so it doesn't matter.

AMD.

They are more power efficient, so for gaming, you can feed more watts to gpu.

Also will run cooler.

Just 20-25 watts should get good performance in games. Intel will draw 40-45 watts. HX processors draw most amount of power but are also more performant.
