The premiere date for the new season of Family Guy has finally been confirmed. No more “FOX 2005” for us. Oh no, we have a date AND a time. The season premiere of Family Guy season 4 will take place on Sunday, May 1st 9/8c on FOX. Mark your calendars and buckle up… only 104 days to go!

I know you’ve heard the rumors and apparently this time they were correct… so way to go. It is now official that the Pilot of American Dad will air on Superbowl Sunday, February 6th immediately following the game and an original episode of The Simpsons.

The experts down at the lab put this at approximately 10:30pm ET / 7:30pm PT but you never know what might happen at halftime… so your best bet is to tune in to FOX early, catch the game and get suited up for the 1st episode of American Dad. As for the rest of the season, it will air sometime later in 2005… no word yet on an official date.

I'm not so confident about American Dad, but I'll check it out. Family Guy however, can't wait! It'd be interesting though if both were great, and were competing week to week for the better show, but I don't think Family Guy could be topped by a show of similar style. So there ya go. More Seth Mcfarlane coming up soon.

I was hearing May for awhile... I might have read it on Planet Family Guy... dun remember. May is good... people will actually be able to watch this series this time with other series reaching their finales. Good move.

Son of a bitch.

Who got me pumped for the supposed March 6th date? I was so excited that I'd get a new Family Guy episode on my 21st birthday. You bastard.

Oh well, maybe American Dad will turn out good. Only a couple weeks for that one.

Am I the only one who doesn't give a shit about American Dad?

the 8 minutes of an episode really turned me off to it. Just annoying characters, the dad the only decent one, and a lot of gags that weren't funny.

The American Dad preview didn't really spark anything with me, but I'm willing to give it a chance. Am I excited? No, but who knows.

I heard straight from the horse's mouth (Seth McFarlane, when he came to speak here at OSU) that Family Guy would premeire in March.

Can't wait for new Family Guy eps.
I feel the same way, I saw that leaked footage of it... not really all that funny. But maybe it's gotten better, just needs a lot less predictable and tired jokes.

But WOOHOO! Family Guy, too bad about the March date though, I wish that was what was happening. Maybe FOX will have some sort of preview around then or something, bah I doubt it, but whatever it's still coming.

Can't wait - for it to turn up somwhere, because I can't watch Fox. I'm led to believe that's a blessing most of the time, but right now it just plain sucks :).

Well, American Dad premieres on Cartoon Network a week after Fox, so I'd hazard a guess that Family Guy will be the same deal.

Yeah, I downloaded the American Dad leaked footage (I can't remember where, though) and compared to Family Guy, it sucks.

I especially don't like that fish. And Seth said that the alien = Family Guy's Stewie. So, maybe after a couple of episodes, I'll warm up to it

Now that we the fans are victorious with Family Guy, lets get cracking on Futurama. Watching the old episodes on Cartoon Network has made me long for this show... as a replacement to American Dad which looks like .... well it looks like crap.

The only way they'd bring back Futurama is if it were changed radically. It cost $2 million an episode to produce and its ratings werent and wont become worth that cost.

Dan doesnt get Family Guy on his 21st birthday but I get it on my 22nd.

Well, that wasn't as good as FG, but it had it's :lol moments, the alien was the funny one, the fish just... annoying. Go download! This isn't the preview btw.

Guess I should delete that....*DELETE*.....I sure enjoy Family Guy. I wonder when the planned straight to DVD Family Guy movie is scheduled for release.

This is the fun part! If one other person also requests a PM like you did, you'll both get banned! Now we get to see what happens to your account and if everyone fully reads threads anymore!

The 6 minute pilot is what I just watched. Shit, I thought that's what they were talking about. It was pretty good. Feels just like Family Guy.

Yeah.. unless you missed it, the entire ep is already leaked. Watched it today, pretty meh. Definately sub-Family Guy, but it had it's lol moments.

Seth may be stretching his talents kind of thin with both American Dad and the return of Family Guy. I enjoy Family Guy for what it is, but do we really need two shows in a similar humor vein? I say focus on making Family Guy great...

He's also doing a voice on Seth Green's upcoming Adult Swim show. I'm hoping he can keep all of his characters differentiated enough so it's not a distraction.

Most of the characters he voiced sounded really similar, that was part of the humor in the original Family Guy to me...

To an extent, yes, but it's still one thing for it to be within one show and another when spread across two or three.

Agreed. I think Seth's letting his Family Guy celebrity kind of get to him, but oh well, he deserves the money's he's no doubt making now if just for how much Fox didn't originally appreciate him.
