The guy was on TV yesterday, I guess, pleading with the government to get him back.

I hate to be a dickhead here, but isn't it common knowledge that if the 'insurgents' get you, you're as good as dead? This guy is crying and pleading and everything, and I just wanna say, "Bro, just accept it."

I feel bad for him and all, but they should give everyone a pamphlet when you get off the plane in Iraq saying: "If your ass gets captured, you're as good as dead to us. SRY THX LOLOLOL!!1!!"

It's not being tough or not. It's about NOT TAKING A FUCKING JOB IN A WARZONE!!!

Jesus Christ, man... what's with the "WELL YOU WOULDN'T BE SO TOUGH FAG!" shit goin on? Who said I would be? I merely said that if I took a job in a fucking warzone (which I would never do without an M16 and a platoon of fuckin groundbounders) I wouldn't be sitting here pleading with the government to get me out.

And this is all besides the point. I wouldn't have been taken hostage in the first place... I'd fight to the death before they ever got me to go with them.

Then wouldn't that also mean not taking a job over there in the first place? We're talking about civillians in a warzone here, and construction contractors at that, not Mercs employed by Haliburton.

They reason he took the god forsaken job is probable because he has mouths to feed. Most of these contractors are over there for their families. If you ever going to get anywhere in life you have to take some risk. One day maybe I can't find work and can't take of my family I could end up in a similar situation just like anybody else. You guys that pretend your too good for it are a joke, walk a mile in his shoes then spout off. Begging for his life is a bad thing what would be better begging in the welfare line.
