hey, I usually have my lil electric fan blowing on me while i sleep cause the place I live is abit ghetto and it seems perhaps the superintendant doesnt believe in AC.

anyways, so I have the electric fan blowing on me, but I got people telling me that its harmful to me if I let it run while Im sleeping.

is this true? and why?

At worst, you may develop some cold symptoms. i sleep under a fan all the time, and occasionally with the window open in the wintertime. i have no problems with it.

I've been sleeping under a fan everynight for some 20 or so years. The worst thing that happens is that dust tends to keep recirculating through the room... which is a problem if you don't dust your furniture, or replace your air filters.
