I just did the math. At this rate, there will be more Android device than Chinese population by May 2014.
How's that possible?
Multi user log in patent goes to Google. How about you implement it?

how is that even patentable?

I knew I made the right choice going with the Apple TV.
Any rumors on when we will hear about Google's next phone?
Smaller galaxy nexus? Really?
Don't see anything about size in there.
That stuff leaked a few weeks ago. It's a smaller Galaxy Nexus or so we are lead to believe. Google is trying to corner the tablet market so I doubt they're going to put any effort into a new phone for a while.
I think the intent for not much more than a processor/camera upgrade is to keep the pricing the same.Lame. Depending on pricing, might jump to Nokias latest offerings.
Thank you for the link and info.

Looks like just a refresh with better internal specs and
A SD CARD SLOT
MEGATON
Isn't that exactly the same size?
Something I noticed that is rather strange to me. Why does the Note 2 launcher have 4 apps per-row when compared to the first Note which had 5 apps?

They're cleaning up their piecharts. Sneaky. They used to have different shades for each point update.
I don't see that gingerbread slice shrinking below 40% for at least another year, possibly two. There's too many people that are satisfied with phones that can keep on trucking with GB for at least three years.
That share is filled with people who use phones until they literally don't work anymore.
I wish they would host historical data on there too. =(

it would help if year-old phones weren't discontinued as far as updates go
fixed and agreedit would help if couple-months-old phones weren't discontinued as far as updates go
I don't think people care whether others buy a new phone every couple months or not.fixed and agreed
I know manufacturers, carriers, and android fanboys would like it if everyone bought the latest phone every couple months but things just don't work like that.

It's funny though, some people don't even care about updates.
Overheard by someone with a Nexus S in regards to the JB update:
"I'm ignoring the update notification cause everything is working fine".
This is why we can't have nice things.
So what the hell happened with Carbon?
Seriously lol that hype train smashed into a wall. Give tweetlanes a shot if you want a new client. So what the hell happened with Carbon?
What if that person was me?
You use GoogleTV, so i kind of expected it to be you
quickly, someone fork the Amazon thread!
You guys remember all the talk about Google plastering ads all over Android, and that's how they would make it free?
Awesome.

I want to buy my wife a nexus s for her first smart phone, but I want to make sure its a model that'll update to jellybean. We purchased one for her already, but the hardware didn't match the software, the serial number was scratched out, and it wouldn't update. The whole thing just seemed shady so we sent it back.
Can anyone link me to the one I want to buy? I'll be using it on Straight Talk which offers SIM cards compatible with all the major carriers.
I'm thinking of getting a new Android phone, but I haven't quite decided which one to get. I can get a Huawei Ascend P1 or a Samsung Galaxy SII for about the same price, and I know the Ascend P1 has a slightly faster CPU, while the Galaxy SII has more built-in Flash memory. Which one would you recommend me?

it's 1280x720 instead of 1280x800
plus most of the cool widgets are only 4 wide anyway
The 2.3.6 update broke the WiFi on my old Atrix 4G.
I don't trust the manufacturers with updates at all.

Well, i guess that's a design. HTC One SC for China.
