Two Coelacanths, a ton of beetles, and Re-tail's premium item being Angelfish; Island/Club Tortimer trips and rainy days are a nice combo. The Gardening store opened up, Gulliver washed ashore (I finally realized that I'm supposed to talk to him a bunch of times in a row to wake him up; the first day, I thought you needed the Megaphone), and I finally got to play the Hammer game at Club Tortimer. It's been quite an eventful day.
After much trouble with the Horned Hercules and Golden Stags during my last Club Tortimer visit, I finally figured out how to reliably catch them this time. It turns out that it's not enough to just get into the stalking motion by holding the A button, you need to move even slower than that. I would move the circle pad only slightly while holding the A button, pretty much inching my way towards the HH or GS to get within range. It worked, by moving even slower than the stalking speed, I was able to catch these tricky bugs without having to worry about them flying away when I'm in range.
Nooklings should announce their upgrade tomorrow, since it'll be 7 days, and I just spent 12,000 on a Black Katana today. And the campsite will open; I'm a bit worried about its location though, since I was also planning to build a bridge nearby. Hopefully I'll still be able to build the bridge around my intended location, or at least close enough to it.

Well that was odd, having my birthday at 6AM the second I walked out my front door. Made a wish and blew out the candles. Marcie the kangaroo boxes her kid's ears when she claps. Guess its time to build a child services in my town.

I feel ya. I keep wanting to use the D-pad and hit a button to send items to storage, etc. Makes me play with the stylus out and in my hand most times. Which I would theoretically only do if I needed to write lots of letters.

Not that my town is anything special, but I know that I'm not online nearly as often as many of you are. Now you can come visit and even run through my precious flowers (gasp) if you so desire!
Also, come see my house. It is the most atrociously ugly assortment of random crap in the universe but it still managed to earn me a 10k HRA score (at one point) and win the t-shirt. My daughter is raging about this :lol
