Hahaha! I did though! When it reset, I was back in front of my station but the holes were there along with you're note so I knew what you were up to.

I think it is random, but it seems like there are only about 5 different scenarios that can happen. After awhile I started getting repeats as well.
A big thank you to Samurai_Heart for taking the time to put the NNID list together. I'm following everyone who has a Wii U ID. I'll get to the 3DS only crowd when my 3DS has finished charging. All this excitement over bingo almost makes me wish I could join in.
You'll get random items in the lost and found (or if you have stuff on the plaza that gets overtaken by say, Redd or somebody else, it'll go there) that you can take, including the sloppy set, which can only be gotten there or re-tail. You can also talk to the police officer to see if you have any special visitors in town (including campers), which is more useful for Gulliver and Saharah. I think he'll also tell you if Phineas is around with badges, though I can't confirm that personally. That's about it.
It took some of us forever to get the suggestion though. I was I think around or a bit over 500 hours, and kamikazekoala was waaaay over 500 if I remember right.
