Can you play other people w/ GBA games wirelessly through the DS?

I searched for the info but I apologize if this has already been asked.

It's too bad Nintendo couldn't/wouldn't work the GBA wireless protocols into DS. Seems like a no brainer considering how close the technologies are in release and function. :/

Just a guess, but it's probably partially because Motorola's radio technology is cheaper than both Bluetooth and WiFi, in addition to being harder to intercept for possible hacking or piracy purposes. There's also the case of them not wanting to eat into GBA/SP sales.

I just asked this same question in the GBATEMP forums and they verified that is virtually impossible for Ninty to do this.
