Anybody want to take one for the team and buy one? Now I'm curious to see what exactly his guide is :D. Maybe if we all pool $0.50 or something.

I'm actually curious too...

I think this hardly qualifies as a scam. His ad states that it is a word document and that he is the copyright holder. It does say that the guide sells in stores tho, which is unlikely unless his last name is brady.
A scam however it is not. I have recieved bootleg goods and I have been requested to pay for $1000 purchases with Western Union, now those were scams. Just like you i read the ad and knew what he was selling right away as he makes it fairly clear and not misleading at all really. I definately wouldnt buy from a guy with so many private transactions mind you..

Wrong.. the second he implys his guides are sold in stores is misleading and a scam. he should be reported.

He could've his own stores, no?

I've been inspired to sell word doc.s and paint/photoshop stuff now. Of course I'll clearly spell it out even in the title(ms paint computer file, photoshop jpeg file, ms word file) :lol

I got a listing removed that was claiming to offer two (selected random) out of a huge collection of Playstation 1 games, which included some nice titles like SotN, Suikoden 1, Grandia, and FF VII-IX black label. Unfortunately, I reported it after he had already sent me Crime Killer and NCAA Football 2000, games so worthless EB and Gamestop won't even take them for trade-in anymore. I can't get my money back, but hopefully the negative feedback he left me can still be struck down.

He does clearly state what it is..eBook.. though that still isn't on the straight and narrow as he doesn't truly own the rights to the content.. ah well.. as has been said already.. reading is fun!

Holy shit some of his feedback is hilarious!

... er, didn't that fellow do precisely what he said? Unless he only listed the "good games" and didn't mention that Crime Killer or NCAA might be the two randomly selected ones... I mean, unless you can prove that the "two randomly selected titles" weren't randomly selected, I can't see how the auction would be fraudulent.

ebay doesn't allow you to list anything like that. They have a script-bot that looks for certain words (such as choice) and won't let you list with them in there. To get around it you just have to open a thesaurus though. But anyway, your listing has to be specific (can you imagine the "item not as described" complaints if they didn't have this rule?) or ebay will take it down.

I usually only buy things on ebay from those that have a basic grasp of the english launguage. Also, ads with like 800 lines of colored text in huge letters and lots of exclamation points is probably a sign to avoid it as well.
