Thinking of getting rid of my 27 inch WEGA and going HDTV. I'm looking to spend about 2 grand and I'm Canadian. I'm useless gimmie some help.

The lower-level Sony Wega 34" HDTV is around that price...my father has been trying to convince my mother to buy the slightly better version.

However, if you aren't looking into Sony, just check around with the brands to find the best combination of price and quality.

Thanks guys, I ended up picking up the 42" LCD WEGA from Futureshop for 2500 with the stand discounted to 100 bucks. Delivery guy coming tonite can't fucking wait!
