Any Dreamcast game collectors here?

I hate to try and whore my "wares" here, but I've got a handful of Dreamcast games, all in excellent condition, that I'm looking to sell. I'd go the trade-in route at EB or wherever, but they don't take them anymore. Soooooo... Just curious if anyone here is interested in buying some DC games on the cheap.

Dead or Alive 2, Fur Fighters, NBA 2K1, NBA Showtime: NBA on NBC, NFL Blitz 2000, Phantasy Star Online (Ep. 1), Sega Rally 2, Street Fighter 3: Double Impact, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, and Crazy Taxi.

If you're interested, shoot me an offer via PM. Odds are, I'll use USPS priority, so that's 3.80 right off the bat... And serious offers only, please. Making .20 cents (offering 4 bucks) is sorta, well, not worth it. :lol

After finding GigaWing 2 (only $15!!!) and Hoyle Casino today, I only need ONE DC game to complete the entire NA collection. Anyone have a Tech Romancer they'd like to sell for under $30? :)

Don't forget Sonic Adventure Limited Edition.

That was my best DC score ever... A mint, absolutely mint complete copy found at a GameStop for $7. They had no idea and charged me the used price for the regular version.

NO WAY TECH ROMANCER RULEZ

I still need a (legit) copy of Samba de Amigo ver. 2000.

And does anyone know how I can go about getting the once downloadable songs (or rather the unlock code) for the original Samba?

Try here.

You want the third save with all the songs unlocked and the downloaded songs. You'll either need to use the Planetweb browser to download the save file to your VMU or use a link cable from your PC to a 3rd party memory unit to transfer the save.

And DC games in general aren't worth shit (collecting-wise). Maybe it's because piracy was so rampant, I dunno. When the DC died I scrambled to assemble a collection because I feared a repeat of the Saturn situation. Almost went for a complete NA collection until I really looked at what it would take. VALIS, there's gotta a lot of crap in what you bought, I remember stuff like Who Wants to Beat Up a Millionaire and other such gems in the DC releases :lol

Awesome. Thanks much! I'll try to get the save onto my VMU this weekend.

Did ver. 2000 have download songs?

Heh. Sure. There's always lots of crap in a complete collection for any console. I've been picking up those forgotten titles like Millionaire and Dragon Riders of Pern (ha!) and Stupid Invaders here and there for years now.

You're right that DC games in general aren't worth shit, except for the Capcom ones. Granted, half.com is usually on the high end of the scale, but just looking right now for the hell of it...

Tech Romancer $50-$60

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure $30-$40

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 $30-$200

Nothing currently for Mars Matrix, but I remember it up there for $100+ (and someone obviously bought it at that price!).

And there's others in that range, too. Capcom + Dreamcast = $$$$

i got tech romancer in pristine condition for like 6 bucks. oh how i love it so.

i would like to collect them all, but i don't have the bank roll.

Shit, we had a tech romancer at work the other day, but I think we sent it off to another one of our stores. I will check tomorrow and let you know if I can get it for cheap.

And Soul Calibur, Sega Bass Fishing, Power Stone 1, RE Code Veronica, Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi 1 and 2, Samba De Amigo, Shenmue, Marvel Vs Capcom 1 and 2, SF Alpha 3... there are many more my mind is just mush right now.

What the...damn! Glad I already own everything Capcom released on DC (Capcom was tied with Sega for reasons to own a DC for me). About two years ago I thinned my DC collection considerably via half.com. Wonder if I should have tried hanging on to some of those games longer? I let most of them go for a song ($5-10). Heck, I had GigaWing 2 listed for $10 (what I paid for it new) forever and no one bought it! Now someone has it listed for $100? Sheesh. I wonder how many of those high-dollar Capcom titles actually sell for those prices? $200 for MvsC 2? That's just ridiculous.

Funny how certain titles become worth something. Sometimes it's pretty obvious what will eventually be valuable due to things like limited pressings or something, but I remember stacks and stacks of those Capcom games at places like Best Buy back in 2001. Jojo was $5, Mars Matrix was $10, and MvsC 2 and Powerstone 2 were $20. Could have gotten multiple copies of those games, but instead I picked up crap like Coaster Works and I-Spy.

Cannon Spike $40-$100

Sorry, but not worth it.

Oh, and the pride and joy of my DC collection? Either Cosmic Smash or the Japanese version of Rez. :)

Just updatin' the list... I've gotten offers for a few of the games, so here's what's left:

NBA 2K1, NBA Showtime: NBA on NBC, NFL Blitz 2000, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2.

I don't know if accessories would be of any interest, but I have the official Dreamcast Keyboard and a VMU (needs new batteries) I'm willing to part with.

Like before, PM any offers!

i wish i never sold my copy of Cannon Spike. (i liked it) ill never own another copy, unless i get really lucky one day.i cant see paying a price like that for a game i allready bought and sold.

interesting to see Gigawing 2 going for so much. (still got that one)

anyone know what the rarest/most expensive DC game would be, off hand? im curious.

damn, i could make some good money selling off some of my old game collection, if i did it the right way...

Sakura Taisen 3 is the pinnacle of the Dreamcast library. Others are up there (Border Down, Culdcept II, Ikaruga, JSR, etc) but the polish in ST3 is amazing.

I don't get why the high prices on the US versions of Capcom games. Capcom is one of the worst localizers out there. They spent 1.5 yrs to port over the Jp Alpha 3, and all they did was remove the "Network Battle" option from the title screen. They stripped out half the game out of Moero Justice Gakuen for Project Justice. They took out all the voices in Gigawing 1 & 2, and in GW2, its absence is sorely missed. If you played the import, you'd know that it's part of the fun. Meh.
