Looking for something to create website that is easy for a n00b to use (lots of templates and stuff) yet is powerful enough to create some really good/powerful content...

I am looking for somthing where real-time video streams can be used...

Price is no object...

Any suggestions?

Still trying to get that porn site up and running, eh?

Why yes I am....no need to lie about it....

I don't know if Dreamweaver is sufficient for your needs....

I have heard lots of good things about Dreamweaver.....do you think it would be possible for a n00b to create content via Dreamweaver?

DW has templates, yes?

Between MS Frontpage and DW, I am leaning towards Dreamweaver MX 2004...any other good choices out there?

Dreamweaver's good, but it's not something I'd recommend to anyone just starting out, as it throws a lot of stuff at you. You might want to give Homesite a whirl first. That will get your feet wet without throwing you into the pool, and it will kind of force you to learn to code HTML by hand, which is something you should know how to do, regardless of your personal goals.

Streaming video is an entirely different monster. You're going to need to learn the concept of metafiles, figure out which format you'd like to use, find out if your web space provider supports streaming media, and all kinds of other good stuff.

Netobjects Fusion = great stuff for beginner to advanced. It grows with you as you learn. Highly recommended.

just uhhhhhh use notepad.

Notepad's good, but when you're developing a large site with assets as far as the eye can see, and start getting into dynamic content, you need to step up and play with the bigger tools.

Using WYSIWYG tools isn't necessarily a bad thing, just as long as you understand what's going on, and can fix stuff manually if it becomes necessary.

Spend about two hours playing with HTML a bit. Get to know its limitations and all that. Dabble into a little bit of Java, then you should be good to use Dreamweaver.
