Is there any way to connect an Ipod to PCs other than its "home" pc? That would be really nice.

If you're using Windows, do a google for EphPod and download that. It'll allow you to transfer files to and from your iPod, regardless of the computer. Be careful though, EphPod breaks the iTunes seal, so to speak, so the next time you sync with iTunes, it'll need to copy the entire music library back over.
