Blim said 720p in the other thread. That would be amazing, if true (though I don't have my HDTV with me right now).pilonv1 said:480p? Or would we be lucky enough to get 720p? Also what are the Live modes?

Good news for me is that it's all in English (assuming that it is just picking up the language option on the Japanese XBox)
Some brief pointers :
Looks utterly amazing.
Very smooth frame rate (30 i think! but VERY smooth indeed)
Looks utterly amazing.
Less "vaseline on the screen" than last time
They almost nailed the controls this time!it's millions of times better than the first one in this respect.
Looks utterly amazing.
Missions are still pretty difficult - time limits are very tight.
Looks utterly amazing.
There is a free roam mode, so you can just drive about finding "car parts"
You can select the time of day that you want to do each mission in. The Evening setting looks just stupidly good. Amazing lighting, long draw distance, the shadow cast from the buggie looks fantastic, etc etc...
Anyways, yes - pretty decent so far. Did i mention it looks amazing?

WoooDCharlie said:oh - forgot about that
actually - it just doesn't appear in the options but yeah, it automatically detected the projector could handle 720P and switch to that mode.
That sucks.DCharlie said:Oh, online mode = uploading scores to a score board.![]()
Why would you even want that?iapetus said:Have they introduced an advanced physics engine with features like collision detection for street lamps yet?

From what I've seen/been told, it could be the best looking game in term of special effects, yes. But the texturing aspect is really weak, no surprise for a free roaming game.Sjoerd said:Although it seems impossible with these kind of graphics, the game is 720P...
It's unbelievable to see these kind of graphics on an old machine like the xbox... People always say the gta games look ugly because of the free roaming aspect. Well they are wrong. Very wrong. This is the best looking xbox game, kudos to de developers
Only Dcharlie could tell for the moment. I hope to get mine tomorrow but it looks like playasia did not ship it yetBarnimal said:REGION FREE? :lol
