Anybody ever been in a live studio audience?

My room mate and a lot of people from my dorm will be in NYC during part of our Spring Break. We signed up for this NYC tour thing. I thought, "Hey, why not try to be in the studio audience for one of those live shows?" I was thinking TRL, 106 & Park, or the Daily Show (I know it's not live, but oh well).

The Daily Show: On the website, it says "we have temporarily disabled the ticket request form"

106 & Park: I checked the website, but there aren't any contact numbers or email addresses.

TRL: Very simple. They have a hotline and a TRL casting email address.

I emailed them and they said that I could be on the show on the 21st.

Perfect...I at least look the part (all I need is a Yankees cap :))

I can't wait to foam at the mouth and scream myself into a seizure for a no-talented pop star! :D

Anyone ever been on a live broadcasting of a show?

More times than I can care to remember while in high school. It used to be easy as hell to get tickets for Conan, but not anymore. I also did the Daily Show when Kilborn was still hosting. He signed my ticket, but I've since lost it.

As far as getting tickets goes, good luck. Letterman's wait averages about a year, although it's possible they give greater preference to you if you're coming from far away. Everything else is a toss up, but I'd definitely have other plans ready if you can't get into the shows.

Aren't there two kinds of tickets?

Tickets that you have to request months in advance I know about, but don't they give out some tickets to people that wait outside before the show?

Only UK gaffers will know what I'm talking about, but when I was a kid I was in the studio audience for Funhouse (with Pat Sharp). Yes, you may touch me.

They do both for TRL.

:lol I was on Monday's show. I can't believe they put me--the black guy--up front, and in the center (but the snubbed my Asian friend...they put him in the corner and he didn't get any camera time). I was on camera a LOT. :D

I got to talk to Ashanti during the commercial break (and she touched me :D). I also got to talk to Sway and Sharon Osbourne (she's so nice) :D

Damien is so fucking unfunny in real-life, but Quddus is a funny guy.

I've been to atleast 4 Montel shows for class trips. While not the most entertaining show, it got me out of school and allowed me to see how big of a jerk Montel is.

David Letterman.

We were visiting NYC - we had no tickets in advance. We walked down from the theater a ways and a guy, apparently an employee, stopped us and signed us up to go in.

Guests sucked pretty bad though. Alec Baldwin, Teg Nugent and no band at the end. (sorry to fans of the Nuge)

Almost Live new years special (maybe the only live show they ever did?). My girlfriend and I were under 21 at the time, and they didn't want to let us in (because they were serving champaign), but she sweet talked the guy at the door into it.

I was in the audience for 3 or 4 episodes of Mr. Show and one episode of News Radio -- Phil Hartman came out during every break and entertained the audience with pretty much every character he ever voiced. Really cool.

I went to WAGs boutique and all I got was a sniff
I would love to be part of the live audience in Conan O'brien. Too bad I live in the middle east. How much do tickets cost?
