Anybody ever had their games stolen?

The worst I've been hit is my NES collection about 7 years ago. I had about 40 games. About 5 of them got lifted by local brats my brother hung out with.

I also lost about 11 in such a stupid way. I let a "friend" borrow them. About a month later I find the little punk moved away and left no contact.

And it was some good fun games I lost: Mike Tysons Punchout, Kung-Fu, Low G Man, Karnov, MegaMan 3.

Shawn wherever you are, if I find you and my games aren't there, I'm fucking you up.

Megaman 2 is > 3 anyway.
I haven't played either in so long.

Which is the one where you beam into Wily's stage with a faster extended version of the intro song. Cuz that one was my favorite.

Zirconia Ztolen!

I had a game stolen from me once, but I found out who did it. I feel bad about it now, but I gave that kid a massive beatdown for swiping my game. I remember getting in all sorts of trouble for the fight, especially since it was at school. But hey, you steal my copy of Wizards and Warriors, you're going to pay for it.

Approximately 17 years ago, a friend of my brother took one of my NES games without anyone noticing until late that night. He returned it after my brother asked him to return it. Damn thief.

I've lost many games through 'lending' it sucks and I don't like to talk about it. :)

around PS2 launch I had a freind that asked to borrow some PS1 games. I gave him einhander, Parisite Eve, and many others that I'm not even going to try and remember because it hurts too bad. I ended up lossing touch with him, then a few years later finnaly ran into him again

me: Hey! good to see you, you still got all those old games I lent you?"

him: "hmm what games?"

also going waaay back I remember lending metal gear to some kid, who later claimed I said he could keep it. I kicked his ass. But I never got my metal gear cart back >_<

bottom line is: don't lend out your games unless you are prepared to lose them.

I've had a Game Boy Color, Super Mario Bros. DX, Donkey Kong Land 3, Sonic Advance, Simpsons Treehouse of Horror stolen from me. I think theres some more, but please, no more bad memories.

Edit: Oh,and my Animal Crossing memory card was lost from a friend.

Plus, yes, lending things out to people sucks ass. Because every time I lend something out, it either gets broken or damaged. Like this Mario action figure I lent to a friend for some video project, and in the video, the guys were tossing my action figures around on the floor and...oh it pissed me off so miuch. In fact, one part they didnt show to me until later was the Mario figure LOSING HIS FUCKING ARM.

Also, this isnt video game related, but the air conditioning went out at work, I bring my dad's giant air fan, damn lid gets broken off the next day I come back.

So, no, never again, fuck everybody.

I had a whole box of about 50+ miscellaneous games "disappear" on me during a move. Never, I repeat, NEVER have friends of friends help you move!

I think some kid stole my SSB:M earlier this year. Thats what I get for taking care of the kids of family friends. From now on I throw the kids in the closet and lock it till its time for them to go home.

Brought a friend to the house during summer 2003, he wanted to try some of my games. The guy was in my room, asked me to get a glass of juice. While I was gone he stole my copy of Red Faction (only the disc). The same guy later tried to my swap my modded PSX for a non modded PSX and tried to hide from me, but I kept going to his house over and over and I kept calling him. Finally got a hold of him and he returned my PSX.

all 40 or so of my snes games were stolen. same thing as first poster. moved with no contact :|

actually i think it was more like deported but whatever. it still made me sad

My older brother traded our 'A Boy & His Blob' for Milon's Secret Castle. The kid moved far away, and after many attempts at playing Milon, I realized it was defective.

when i came back from holiday (a week 2mora) i had my playstation 2, gamecube and my brothers playstation with plenty of games from all consoles stolen a nice welcome home present. And when i was young i more stole games than had them stolen :lol

about 7 years ago i stole some dudes NES games...he had quite a collection, probably around 40 or so. It was a great hit. I made alot of money off of those games.

Yeah, I lost two games by lending them to co-workers. Never lend stuff to co-workers. That makes it even riskier to beat their ass, and you have to keep seeing them.

So stealing is just A-OK with you eh?

Thats nice. I sure hope someone steals something that you value from you soon.

I had 20 N64 games stolen (my whole collection) 3 years ago.

I claimed on the house insurance, and of course you get the original value, so i got £50 a game. £1000 of brand new videogames/consoles/accessories for the games i hadnt touched in god knows how long.

tbh it was probably about the best day of my life when all that stuff arrived at once...like I imagined christmas would have been if i were an only child.

I stole my friends stamp collection of the last day of school! Basically my friend and I came up with this scheme to steal his entire stamp book after the exams. We got the guy to play hide & seek with us and told him to bring his stamp collection with him on that day. While he was looking for us we took his stamp book and divided the collection. I gave some rare stamps to other kids on the bus while on my way home...

I recently got rid of the collection due to guilt. That was really wrong though, probably the worst thing I have ever done. :(

I had let my neighbor borrow LOZ: LTTP for SNES a few months after it had come out (i had already beaten it). Shortly after the derilect that was living with his family stole a whole bunch of their stuff and ran off. Feeling guilty they promised to buy me another copy so they went to the local pawn shop and found one. I turned on the SNES to play it again and the copy from the pawn shop had all of my saved games on it :lol

compare my post and the original post... :lol

Oh, heheheheh.

Sorry - I have a REAL big problem with thieves.

I didn't make the connection, and everthing here at work is going to hell in a handbasket as well.

What really kills me is these people who steal wouldn't want anyone else stealing from them, but they obviously don't have a problem with doing it to others. Those people suck.

im sure walmart gave you top dollars for those games :P

No. Because I keep my games locked up and out of sight and I never, ever, under any circumstances loan them out. And when I move I handle moving them myself.

I would have eBay'd or traded that thing into Gamestop fast.

I didn't know if you wanted your new name to be connected to your old one so I didn't call you out directly, but I knew that was you...

you do realize that those things have GPS transmitters in them right? Not that they would send a swat team out for a stolen N-gage, but they could find you if they wanted to.

Pretty much my entire Sega Genesis collection, by one of my younger brother's friends.

Still hurts. A lot. 'specially the Phantasy Stars. PSIV is my favorite RPG of all time and Sega still hasn't rereleased it for some reason.

Never had anything stolen, and if any games that are borrowed come back broken or damaged then the person who borrowed them will be broken or damaged.

lets get back to the topic....ive been lucky enough to only have a gcn controller stolen from me...sadly it was the limited platinum :(

I stole a Nintendo Power from some kid on the school bus becuase I thought my mom was hiding my copy...mine arriveds in the mail the next day. I had EarthwormJim SNES stolen or this friend claims he doesnt know what happened to it. Dixie cup of urine poored inside his new Saturn was just retrobution, and I did him a favor anyways.

Nintendo is now manufacturing the Platinum controller (both regular and Wavebird)... I'm sure you can find it in stores... go for Target or Wal-Mart they usually have it $5 cheaper than other places...

:D w00t thanks!

I let someone borrow my NES and a bunch of games. The little fucker moved and I never saw him or my stuff again. Back in I think 2000, my house was broken into. They stole my N64 and Dreamcast but the idiots left all the games. I wasn't too bummed about that. In 2003 my house was broken into AGAIN and they got my PS2, Cube, controllers for both, and allllll my games as well as my DVDs. That was painful. :(

Last April, someone stole my pack while waiting at the train station. INside the pack there was my NDS, Mario 64 DS, RE4, a GC controller and my Memory Card, with all my saves. It wasn´t funny, I must say :-/
