Anybody gonna watch Transporter 2?

eventhough you will have to check your brain at the door?

well i heard they got rid of the romantic subplot that ruined the first film so i am gonna watch it.

Ummm...YEAH! Of course. I like the mindless action flicks. And I thought that chick in the first one was cute.

Yeah that girl was cute. The first movie wasn't bad at all, the music on the other hand was. The car chases were pretty good. That reminds me, they need to make a sequel to Ronin.

the chick in the first one was nice to look at but soon as she opened her mouth i wanted to punch her.

her 5 min speech near the end of the movie was AWFUL no one in the theater new wtf she was talking about.

This one is suppose to have even more outlandish stunts. Ebert seemed to like it too.

Before any sequel to Ronin is made, they would need to make a sequel to Bullit, because this is still the reigning champ of the car chase.

yea the chase was good but man the movie itself sucked.

Yea, I think I'm definitely gonna see this one. Just saw The Transporter on FX the other night with a sneak preview (more like half of the movie) of the sequel. It was a decent movie, if not a bit cheesy. Jason Statham is pretty awesome. The chick was cute, but that accent was painful.

And Ronin was an awesome movie.

No, because its got Jason Statham in it... Why can't his movie roles be as brief as his Collateral role?

The fuck? Jason Statham is the mac daddy of the UK, watch your mouth! Dude rocks, and I will see Transporter 2.

WTF? He is white AND doesnt look like an idiot while doing elaborate martial Art stunts. Pure Awesomeness.

I haven't seen the first one, but I'll say that the trailer for the second one made the movie look like it had a hell of a lot of ass-kicking. If I can rent the first, I'll see the second in the theater.

I'm pretty sure you don't need to see the first one to enjoy this one.

Jason Statham is one of my favorite B-list actors in the business right now. I enjoyed the Transporter and I'm defintely going to be seeing this one.

I didn't even like the first one (except for grease fight!) but the trailer is just too badass for me to ignore.

He's the ideal "cool" guy. Everything about him, right down to his voice, is fucking cool. He's built like a horse, he can kick ass, he looks cool, he talks cool, he walks cool...Jason Statham *is* the walking definition of cool. Fact.

If it wasnt for the fact that he's shaved. I would say he would be a pretty bad ass bond. But anyways i'm thinking i'll wait on this one. Gotta hear some spoilers first then i'll think about it.

He's to much of a bad-ass to be Bond. Now someone like Clive Owen is perfect for Bond.

A lot of the reviews have compared the movie to watching a Bond film. I think Statham could pull it off.

He's way too coarse-looking. I like him, but he'd be the ugliest Bond ever. Or at least the 2nd ugliest.

I loved "The Transporter". It was good popcorn action flick. I will most certainly be seeing "The Transporter 2" and hope for a third one as well.

Oh and +1 Clive Owen for Bond. Does anybody have all of the BMW films that were made a few years back?

haha, that scene was awesome with the firehose. i'm still stinging from the first ones range of suckiness, but uh, we'll see about this one.

Yeah, I got them all on a DVD from BMW a few years back. I love the one with Adriana Lima, the music in that one is so beautiful, but they're all really good.

It will run you about $5, unless you own a BMW, then it's free.

alright just saw it The acting by all the females was horrible but luckily they are barely in the picture.

Statham rocks again, the last 40 min or so is just him kicking ass. Teh stunts are WAAAAAY over the top and the end sort of sucks. The fight scenes were the best part of the movie.

I liked it much more than the first one.

8/10

I saw it. It's pretty kickass.

Now just let's set the record clear. When the movie get's over the top it gets way way way over the top.

The second thing is Jason Statham is the freakin' terminator, the way he would stalk his opponents, the man just won't quit, he won't go down for the count; dodging bullets, slamming into cars, all the while keeping his composure and being cool as hell.

If you can except it like that you can enjoy it.

The movie is pretty much fun as hell, when Statham kicks ass, he really really kicks ass.

I just wished there was more a direct final fight I was sort of expecting. When we see the badguy beating the crap out half a dozen guys in a kenpo wooden sword fight, pretty sweet.

One thing I have to say is I loved the sequence in the movie in which they used the music from the Sin City trailers, I really like that music piece.

I've got to say I am honestly really put off by the PG-13 rating on this kind of movie.

You know it doesn't really matter too much. Statham kick ass in this movie, some very painful ones at that, it seemed almost borderline PG-13/R rating at moments.

Jason Statham just really surpised the hell out me, here is this nonasian guy beating the crap out of people like he's Jackie Chan and Jet Li mixed together while all the same his composure and style is like he was James Bond.

That discription is something I wouldn't have thought I say, but he's just cool as hell in this movie and pulls off this style about him brillantly.

I saw it, and overall I liked it. I actually never saw the first one, but what are you gonna do. The plot kind of sucked and lacked any sort of depth, but the action scenes really make up for it. And for once, I actually liked the cars in a movie.

But that scene
Where Frank does a kickflip with his car to get the bomb off.
:lol That was ridiculous.

Yes it really was. I hear a guy in the next row say, "You got to be kiddin' me!!"

In the first movie I thought it was outragous when
he deflected a rocket with a tea tray
so I'm glad they kept the tradition of having implausible things happen for the sake of fun.

Is Hsu Chi (chick from Transporter) in this one?

FYI, she used to pose as a nude model. Type up her name in Google, you will see. :D

Uh, wha?

I've seen the first movie a bunch of times, but I never remember something like that happening.

Definitely seeing this tomorrow night. I figure I owe it to myself to end my summer in the most mindless way possible before classes begin on monday.

It didn't. It was in the original trailer for the film, but they changed it due to the publics outcry of it being so retarded.

Just got back from seeing it. It was a borderline fun popcorn movie, but I'd say the first Tranporter movie was much better than this sequel.

Transporter 2 had it's obligatory crazy action scenes, but some of the ones presented here are just way over-the-top......which pretty much made the whole film quite silly. Like when
Frank used the crane-hook to dislodge the bomb from under his car, and the final sequence onboard the out-of-control plane. I did enjoy the fight with the big dude on the boat, and the part where Frank used the fire hose to eradicate all those thugs (who knew a fire hose could be so useful...hehe!).

The plot here was generic, and the pacing was fast and kinda sloppy compared the grounded, and more-serious first movie. Even the CG here in Tranporter 2 was visually fake and could have been better, and Tarconi (once again played by Francois Berleand) had his humorous moments, but overall was a wasted character.

Tranporter 2 should have been directed by Corey Yuen again (although he did choreograph the fight scenes). The look, tone, and editing of this sequel doesn't match the "feeling" of the first movie, since this was directed by Louis Leterrier.

Bottom line: I'd wait for this on DVD, or catch this one for cheap at a matinee showing. If you found the first Tranporter to be stupid, then you'll defintely find this sequel to be more stupider. If you enjoyed the first one, then you'll be disappointed with Tranporter 2.

just saw it

WTF it blows! I thought Transporter 1 was a good and very enjoyable movie, but Transporter 2 was just way too ridiculous. The story doesn't flow very well, and it just ended up being a collection of random fight scenes, car chases, audi commercials, and stupid character moments. I don't know which one is more retarded, Transporter 2, Stealth or the Doom trailer :/

Now I did enjoy the fight scenes but everything else was just way too stupid. The original movie is way better than this shit :/

Yep, enjoyed the first one better than this one. Agree with Kumiko's assessment all around. Best of part of this movie was the return of Tarconi - even in squandering his character for little more than comic relief, he still manages to show up just about every other part in the movie.
