Hi,

I have been coming to gaming-age for years now, mostly a lurker, but I do post from time to time. I am an MFA 3D animation major at the Academy of Arts, I mostly focus on the animation and design elements, but I am looking for a story person to collaborate with on a short film. If anybody here has a story they would like to see in an animated short I am up for a collabertion with someone. I know this is kind ofa long shot, but I think there is a good mix of creative people here so I figured I'd give it a shot. Just PM me or reply here if you are interested.

Have you ever seen the short "La vielle dame et les pigeons"? It was nominated at the Oscars for best animated short but it did not won. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon were presenting the awards, to this day I remember Damon butchering the sounding of the title of the short. :lol

This could be some good inspiration material for you. Maybe you could make it in 3D, with a similar character as the police officer, with a different story, but set in a modern era with a brand new twist? That would be great. Very few dialogue, focusing on striking (but not disturbing) images about a lonesome, crazy main character, that's really a good idea for a short animated film IMHO.
