I didn't catch the very beginning of the call but to make a long story short some supposedly brunette Pam Anderson lookalike was on the phone with Howard because she wanted to meet someone steady.

Her husband is over in Iraq, and though she TOLD him not to go he went. Her problem is she needs to have her physical needs satisfied.. I think she said in six months she's sleep with six guys, including a friend of her husbands.

Her's and Robins' rationalization of the topic was... well guys cheat on their women too all the time.... all these guys hitting on her see the ring and they don't care, and well her husband is probably cheating on her in Iraq anyway(prostitutes, etc..). Plus she doesn't consider it cheating because she still loves him, she's just sleep with guys for her physical needs.

And you know that started me thinking.... Can you really pin it on one sex over the other? It takes a male and a female to cheat in a heterosexual relationship. Women always go around saying guys are dogs, guys are dogs... In my 30+ years on this planet I've say the # of cheating people I've meet over the years is pretty even between men and women.

Of course many of the callers were pissed because the guy is in Iraq for chrissakes. One soldier called in to say that there aren't nearly as many prostitutes in Iraq as people think, and for the most part many of the callers were upset....

would this call have happened if we didn't have soldiers inolved in a conflict right now? No.
would people have been as pissed? No.
would anyone care? No.

But it is what it is... Personally? I came away sad about it. I have friends in Iraq right now... and regardless of what OTHER guys and OTHER girls are doing... some folks really DO take their vows seriously... and to just toss that away because OTHER folks are doing it...

Not from what I've seen... it balances out... you get those folks only doing it to get back, but for the most part I've met a # of women over the years who cheat for a variety of reason... and not just to get back.

There's an interesting genetic reason that women might cheat, though it probably doesn't apply to this case.

I saw this on a BBC documentary a while back, so it's a bit sparse on details as I'm just remembering it. There was a survey of women where they had to choose between two faces (lots of different pictures, not just one pair) and say which the find more attractive. The two faces were in fact of the same person, just altered so one was more feminine, one more masculine. Now for something like 25+ days of the month, the women almost always went for the more feminine face. But during those other days, they'd suddenly switch to the more masculine face.

Unsurprisngly, those were the days they were most fertile. When not so fertile, they wanted a man who would care for them and love them, and they see that in the feminine features (subconciously of course). But when fertile, their desires changed to the strongest genes to pass on, hence the stronger, more masculine men becoming more attractive.

What this means is, even if you have the feminine features and are lucky enough that your woman wants you for most of the month, for a few days, other guys are going to tempt her.

It's very common for wives or girlfriends to cheat on their military men while they're away. Nothing new really. There's even a name for the kind of men that prowl on these kind of women, but I can't remember it at the moment.

I once used to believe that it's mostly men that cheat. But as the years past I too have noticed that it's about the same for man and woman. The conservative male in me always believes that it's always worse when a woman cheats though. I hold woman to a higher standard than men as I really believe that most men are going to cheat at sometime or another.

This believe that women are to be held at a higher standard routinely sets me up for disappointment as time after time I find women to be doing the most dispicable things. They are no better than men and are often times worse as they are more vindictive than men and are better at concealing it IMO.

It seems to me though that the majority of the time a woman will cheat for emotional reasons. They (women) seek emotional fullfillment through physical means. Men will just cheat...well...just because!

A few months back i ran into this girl i had a crush on in the sixth grade at a club a town over from Fort Bragg. Hadn't seen her in like fifteen years. She had the same facial features, same high pitched voice though a bit deeper with age, same cute little gap in her teeth that i had completely forgotten about, and a fucking amazing body. So we're catching up, i find out she had a thing for me too but was too shy, which i took as an opportunity use some cheesy line about "living childhood fantasies", and segued into kissing her. She suggested we go back to her place which i was definitely all for at that point. i don't remember how it came up, but i distinctly remember the words "husband" and "Iraq" and things went horribly, horribly downhill at that point.

i'm not for the war, or war in general (although i think it may be necessary at times), but fuck, i can't fuck a man's wife knowing he's risking his life every second he's away -- for himself, his girl, his country, whatever. i really wish i could too, because... fuuuck.

i have a feeling that if i hang around the area long enough i'll run into the girl i dated in Michigan, who now lives in the Fort Bragg area with her husband (then boyfriend) who's in Iraq. She was living with him at the time, but we used to date. i somehow convinced myself it was just two like-minded people doing things together, but it was more than that even though it was never sexual physically. And the day after their breakup, it started what was easily the best sex i've ever had. i just hope that, given the chance, i can say no to that.

So they were laughing in the beginning saying how all their predictions were true with her (dumped bf and has a restraining order against him etc.) Then she told them about how
she met Pauly. Then sure enough, after some lying she admitted that she did do Pauly because when she was at the playboy halloween party he was the only one that talked to her.

They couldn't believe it because it was so cliche. So they made some new predictions about her being hooked on blow and will be in pornos soon.

It was just really nasty about Pauly being with her and him lying about his age and how he's banged a ton of porno and playboy girls. They just didn't get it.
