The premise of the game sounds interesting but the review scores haven't been that hot. Any impressions from GAFers? I'm a noob to the X-series of space games BTW and I have heard that the learning curve for noobs is quite steep.

It needs a beefy PC to run well. I'm also "on the fence" when it comes to X3. X-2 was a little bit on the boring side.

I'm running a P4 3Ghz, ATI 9800 Pro 128MB and 1GB of DDR SDRAm. Will that do?

I ..wasn't a huge fan. Sure it sounds really, really cool, but it's all proportional to how much time and effort you put into it. Be prepared to spend a good chunk of your gaming time learning the ropes and just hope you don't run into any of the bugs.
