[Particle Physicist]

this show just started (3 episodes in), and its pretty good. the cast is good, the guy that plays kolchak is pretty awesome. the stories are interesting. even when its predictable (like this past episode), its still fun to watch. im enjoying it immensely. one thing that really stands out is the music. whoever is in charge of the music on the show should get a medal. is there any website out there that might list the bands/songs that have been used on this show?

I made a post about this a while ago. I really think it will only get better. The pilot was a little lame, but it was a setup piece for all the characters. After that they have been great. Reminds me of what I liked best of the X-Files way back when. Stuart Townsend is great as Carl Kolchak, but Gabrielle Union just does't work for me. But the show is good so far.

I am totally hot for the voice over at the end with the floaty word blurbs.

So far this show continues to impress. Hopefully its doing better than the less than lame Supernatural.

The stories have been "meh" overall, but the sheer brilliance of those floaty-word sequences make up for it. If newspaper writers wrote like that all the time, no one would watch TV.

I TIVO it since it doesn't conflict with anything, but I don't go out of my way to watch it. It has potential though. They just need to craft a really good mythology like the X-Files around that Chupucabra-style attack.

Gabrielle Union's character pisses me off. Every episode is like this:

1. Something happens.

2. Kolchak thinks it might be supernatural.

3. Gabrielle Union ignores it.

4. Kolchak shows proof.

5. Gabrielle Union ignores it.

6. Kolchak shows more proof.

7. Gabrielle Union finally believes it.

8. That Something is "solved"

Then the very next episode, she goes back to not believing Kolchak! WTF!

Besides that, I really like the show.

Yeah I have been watching this one. It is pretty good and seems to be getting better with each episode. There is a lot of Supernatural/Sci-fi shows on this season which is good. I have been recording Supernatural, Invasion, Surface, Night Stalker and Lost of course. I was also recording Threshold but I never watched it and dropped it from my list.

I've been falling behind on watching the episodes I have recorded so I need to catch up on Invasion and Surface.

Getting Windows Media Center is the best thing I have done with my PC.
