So there's a Dragonforce show there in November that I really want to go to.

Tickets went on sale like 3 days ago, and they seem to have been sold out online now for the past day or so.

I didn't get my ticket online. Needless to say, I'm pissed off.

Anyone ever been there? I'm thinknig the venue must be REALLY friggin small. Also, any idea if they hold tickets at the door? I'll be heading out early in the morning to get a ticket if they do in hopes that I can snag a ticket.

I haven't been there since I was in High School, late 80's. Yes, it is rather small. They've renovated it a few times though so I don't know how it has changed since.

I just find it really hard to believe that the show could sell out so uickly unless the place hell 100 people or something crazy like that.

Check ebay, I'm sure that will help you understand why it sold out so fast. That or there are more Dragonforce fans than you'd like to think.

You can't scalp ticketweb tickets via ebay or anything. They hold the tickets, and you have to pick them up the day of the show with the same credit card you bought them with, as well as a valid ID.

It barely seems like it could even hold 100 legally, but then I'm always suprised at what the fire marshalls allow clubs to have as a capacity. So maybe 200-250.

I buy Ticketweb tickets all the time over the web, and they're mailed directly to me. Maybe it's CBGB policy to have them be will-call only.

that's how they're set up with CBGB. They've got a page about it on their site so people don't get scammed into getting scalped tickets they can't use.

That is the coolest thing I've heard in ages. More venues should employ this policy.
