Anyone have Lost In Blue yet?

I had a great time with this at E3, which is strange because its the kind of game thats usually hard to enjoy in such a noisy atmosphere. Supposedly it would be released today (or shipped, dunno when stores actually get it) and I've been waiting for any official reviews to come in.

Anyone unnofficially pick this one up yet?

the wife called up today and said she heard about this game from her brother and that she really really wants to try it... which means that i will probably pick it up soon.

I'm really surprised that there's very little new info and hype for the game. I won't be getting it til next week most likely, as Amazon has a good Canadian deal but ships a few days late.

Official Reviews:
GI = 7
Nintendo Power = 8

NP basically said it's only as interesting as you make it, there's not much life around the island and no predatory threat... also, the meat of the story happens too late.

Do you happen to know what each of those magazines said about the game (pros/cons)?

Nope, sorry. I just saw those scores online. I did find a Survival Kids GBC review on IGN that was very favorable to how Lost in Blue is going to turn out.

Go a 9.0 :) It's obviously a bit different but it's good to know that the DS version stems from this.

I think the Survival Kids ending comments will apply well to Lost in Blue as well:
With the right things, a little patience, and severe wanderlust, Survival Kids shrinks from being a task to becoming downright fun. Although there is little story to back up the involving gameplay, and very few characters with which to interact, Survival Kids shows that a little creativity goes a long way. This addictive game grows on you after a few goes-around, and will keep you returning until you find a way back home. Konami has produced an enchanting game which is very enjoyable to play, and proves that there still are unmade styles of play just begging to be created.

Oh shit, I had no idea this was almost out. Might have to grab it. This and Castlevania should be perfect for the plane next week. I'll need all the entertainment I can get...

I'll pick it up a little bit later at about the same time I pick up Trace Memory.

Lost in Blue looks pretty fun though. I saw the reviews in both GI and NP but didn't bother reading them. I'll fix that later.

After looking up the concept of this game, I couldn't believe it wasn't some kind of twisted japanese porn simulator

I got it and on the other thread i had my rants..

Your guys run out of water/food/energy too fast

Confusing beginning but was like hugo mixed in with survival kids.. which kinda rocked
