Anyone playing X-men Legends 2?

My friend brought over the Gamecube version of the game today. We tried it out in 3 player mode. It's pretty fun though a bit too easy. We only died once and that was 5 hours in during a boss fight. Graphics are nice, they look cellshaded but not quite. I haven't played Xmen Legends 1 so I can't compare.

Yea I'm playing through it with my roommate past couple days. The graphics give me a goddamn headache and the cutscenes are absolutely terrible. It's kinda fun though. The only time we've died is from jumping off cliffs and what have you. You cannot fly over to Abyss's blimp fyi.

Heh yeah we we're only dying for stupid reasons as well expect for one boss later on. Yeah I know about the blimp part :)

I dunno, I kinda like the graphics. They're cellshaded on 3D it seems. Not bad, a bit repetitive use of certain rooms though.

There was an xbox version thread on the forum last week sometime, I'm guessing it's time has passed.

It's graphically the same as the first, ie crappy :/. But I still like this game a lot, moreso than the first one, which I played to death, because of all the additions and improvements. There a lot of character skins and characters in general to use in this one. A lot more powers/upgrade options and some gameplay improvements which were lacking in the first one. Things like 4 player all the time and forced player spawn (L trigger xbox) if you get stuck somewhere and left behind.

It's just a shame we started playing it right after playing Shaolin Monks for 4 days straight. Resulting in the XL legends fighing system boring us to tears the first 15 mins heh. We got back into it though, and all's well.

I'm not sure exactly where we are currently, but we're helping the
White Queen recover some child phycics
Apocalypse was using. It's pretty far into the game, maybe 75%+ or so, but I never checked to make sure.

So far we only died during the fights with
Sugarman
, we got too anxious and he took out almost our whole group 'cept for Cyclops who ran around dodging and beaming for 10+ minutes to finally take him down. And the fight with the
Sinister Xmen
. Damn you
Iceman and Storm
and your cheesy moves!

Other than that, it's been smooth sailing.

Oh he wasn't hard, but like I said we just have a habit of rushing leaders. We were low on health viles at the time (which conveniently no one noticed) and he caught us with his twirling attack with takes like half a bar each time! :lol

You don't have to have 4 players all the time. Just go to your team select menu at the x-traction menu and press X on whatever character you want to get rid of.

I have the X Box version and it freezes during Act 4 ALOT.

It's not just Xbox version. Some bad coding there somewhere and shame on Activision. It's enough to lower your score from a 8 to 6.5.

You misinterpreted what I said. I'm talking about the improvements they made in the sequel. And I'm referring to actual people ie players. You couldn't play 4 player all the time through the story in the first.

My game hasn't frozen at all, *shrug*

good gawd

I've beaten Archangel 4 times and everytime he's about to die, the game freezes

I've played the first few hours in co-op. It feels almost more like a PC game than a console game to me. The graphics have a pasted-on look that I'm not really loving. The decision to shift away from the "square rooms" of the first game's level design seems to only add confusion in mulitplayer.

I probably like it less than the first, but I hope that improves as I play more.

Oh, and yeah, it's totally easy. I've only died so far from accidentally walking off of cliffs. :lol

If you think the game is too easy, play on hard mode after beating it. You'll be fighting enemies 20+ levels higher than you.

Heh, I always just turn on the map and I never have a problem finding out where to go.

I can figure out where to go, it's just more chaotic to look at on screen and it bugs me in this game a bit.
