I gave up on this title a while ago but am still curious to hear if it's gotten any better. I read the Bendis and Vaughn stuff, but gave up shortly after. The rotating cast of characters is what really killed the book for me, and the fact that I didn't really care what happened. I don't care about the X-Men in this universe. I did when the series first started, since The Tomorrow People was a pretty damn great storyline, but since then it just hasn't been too interesting. I barely cared when
Beast died
.

There is a new Magneto arc coming up that looks kind of promising though. Hmm. What's been going on in this book? Is it still just as mediocre as it has been for the better part of the past year?

To be honest, I can't really remember what's been happening in the book, which probably doesn't speak well for it. That said, I think Vaughn has done a much better job of getting into the groove of the series, developing the Ultimate characterization, and introducing more Ultimate versions of classic characters. It's been consistently entertaining, if not mindblowing.

If you really want to recap, Paul O' Brian's reviews await.

Hmm...Mojo? New artist? Vaughn's last arc coming up before Bryan Singer? Argh. Don't make me pick up these back issues Vaughn. :( Sounds like more fun than the Gambit and Wolvie making out with Storm crap.
