Anyone with a Logitech Cordless MX Duo? I need some help.

I just bought a reburbished one from Overstock and I can't seem to get it to work properly with the PS/2 ports. It'll work on bootup but if I soft or hard reset my system, it'll act like I disconnected the base station from the PC. I have to go behind the PC and turn off my PSU, turn it on, then turn on my PC in order to get it to "connect" again.

I got it to work with the USB port fine. I'm actually typing this message with the keyboard now so it works but I'd prefer to use the PS/2 port (less CPU overhead).

Can you get yours to work with the PS/2 ports? I think it may be my motherboard which continues to power the PS/2 ports even after the PC is turned off. I know it does this because the little red LED on my Microsoft Intellimouse remains lit when I shut my PC off (no this is not sleep mode, it's off).

Can anyone help a brotha out?

Yes I have the same cordless set you mentioned. I have it connected to the ps/2 ports on the motherboard which is an ASUS A8V Deluxe (939 Athlon64 board)

Do you know if that particular motherboard continues to feed power to the PS/2 ports when it's shut off?

I may just return this thing. I think I get a 20 day window to return it.

Well on my bios setup I have an option of "power on" for ps/2 mouse or keyboard but currently I have it disabled as I don't really have any problems with the keyboard or mouse connections when either powering up or hard resetting.
