AppleCare on a 2018 iPad Pro?

Yeah, so I bought an 11” iPad Pro that was still brand new and sealed on Swappa. I asked the seller if it was eligible for AppleCare and he said it wasn’t, but is it possible that AppleCare would still be available for me to purchase since the iPad has never been opened or activated? I’ve seen online it says you have to get it within 60 days of your purchase, but I wasn’t sure because last year I bought a 12.9” 2018 iPad Pro on eBay and surprisingly AppleCare popped up in my options. So, is there any possibility to add AppleCare to this or was the seller correct?

I really, really appreciate the help!

Says 365 days after purchase with a visual inspection. Wouldn’t hurt to call an Apple store and ask.

Bought my daughter an iPad air 2 when it came out and upgraded to an air 4. She was 4 when I got it for her and had no problems but the battery life was shit. I did get the protection this time.

Can't say definitively, but if it's sealed, new in box, you'll most likely be able to purchase AppleCare through the settings. I know that AppleCare can stay active for like 4 years of the device's life (based on what I see on my phone, at least) as I pay for it monthly. This is no different than if you bought it from a store, and it's been sitting on the shelf for 2 years. You don't have to show a receipt to buy AppleCare on the device or anything like that.
