Man, that's a huge nope. I'm glad we don't have these monsters in Germany.

to be fair, they're just freaking loud and doesn't do anything. their babies basically just stay underground in the dirt for years until finally mature into what you see in that picture. then they break out of the earth, fly up to the trees and start yelling, screwing and then die after lying down the next batch of babies.

I always considered crustaceans basically insects too. Which makes me think, of crawfish are so tasty then I bet a lot of insects are.
