...or do I just remember games looking better back in the day?

I just started re-buying my previous PS1 collection off Half.com and it seems like all the games look less "sharp" and more jaggy. Is it my imagination, or did PS1 games look better on the original playstation?

I remember "D" was a graphical masterpiece back in the day. Now it looks like pixel vomit.... :lol

Without the added "enchancements" turned on, PSX games on PS2 are 100% identical in appearence.

One difference may be that you're now seeing them via crystal-clear Component video, whereas you probably used lower-quality Composite or S-Video in the past.
