Are there any 2-disc PS2 games?

I can only think of DMC2 and Star Ocean 3. DMC2 could easily be on 1 disc though...I guess having it on 2 discs made the game seem bigger.

I think Onimusha 4 is on 2 discs too. And of course MGS3 Subsistence

Off the top of my head, there's Devil May Cry 2 and Shin Onimusha: Dawn Of Dreams. I think Star Ocean 3 is two discs, too. Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence is on 3 discs, but they just divided up the game content on all of them. (main game/online game/movie)

The only ones I can think of are also Xenosaga 2, Shadow Hearts 2 and Star Ocean 3.

Also, isn't Kingdom Hearts 2 two discs

i was unaware of those, and couldn't see them when searching Google. Hence my edit once i knew i was wrong

Two-disc games (with both discs being game discs):

- Devil May Cry 2
- Star Ocean 3 Director's Cut
- Shin Onimusha Dawn of Dreams
- Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistance
- Xenosaga Episode 2
- Xenosaga Episode 3
- Shadow Hearts 2

There are also some SCEI developed live-action FMV interactive games which were 2 DVDs, the name of one particular horror themed on escapes me at the moment.

On that note, any 2-disc Xbox games? In any territory?

No, the reason why there are some 2-disc PS2 games is because most developers try to stay away from dual layer DVDs for PS2 due to the problems people have had with them on older model PS2 systems. Since Xbox doesn't have any problems playing dual layer DVD discs developers tend to use a DVD9 for Xbox games if they aren't able to fit the game on a DVD5 disc.

It's funny how small the list is when you read that supposed comment from the Atlus people, saying that PS3 will just have better graphics and less games on multiple discs...

No, unless of course, you count stuff like Metal Slug 4 & 5 and King of Fighters 2002/2003. But those were separate games on each disc, not one game split over two discs.

And in the original territory, they were seperate releases entirely! :D

I think he's referring to the DMC demo.
I should have added 3-discs with the first print of Wesker's Report on the separate sleeve ^_^
I removed the DMC demo and put the Wesker's Report disc in the case with CVX.

I can believe no one has mentioned Space Channel 5: Special Edition

Just like with KOF 2000/2001, KOF 2002/2003, and Metal Slug 4/5, Space Channel 5 1 and 2 were both originally released separately from each other before coming Stateside.

Plus none of those games are one game across two discs, but completely different games entirely.

2 DVD's of full motion video, like a bad Sega CD game on steroids. The "gameplay" and "acting" look awesome, and its the first Enix game on the PS2. I believe this meets the criteria.
